Goilan Goch

Extremely cosy and clean. There were a few quirky items as well as modern features. Had everything you would need. Secure back garden which was great for the dog. Comfortable bed. Shower was hot and well pressured. Also nice to have a bath. Very quiet location. There is a nature reserve/ woods just a down the road with a few walking trails (1/2 a mile to 2 miles). Llandeilo is a 5 minute drive where there's several independent shops, convience stores, pubs, restaurants and a co op. Dinfwr Castle is also nearby. Carreg Cennen Castle is a 13 minute drive. WiFi was hit and miss especially if you are downstairs. Not a major issue as it allowed me to have a detox from the Internet. There's no lock on the bathroom door.The flush occasionally didn't work. The front door and the key box is where the back door is (in the garden). The stairs are quite steep so not suitable for those with mobility issues. The bathroom is downstairs. Overall I had a enjoyed my stay. I stayed for 3 nights and wish I booked longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. Would return.

Location was great - secluded & private, but very short distance from the town of Llandeilo (5m in car). Also, very short drive to the Iron Age fort of Goilan Goch. The property itself felt like a home from home from the moment we arrived. Everything you could possibly need is at the home (but, even if not, the owner is only round the corner to provide whatever further you might need). A truly special place to stay - if you're lucky enough to secure a booking :-)

Honestly, nothing not to like!

The cottage was exceptional.Very clean and spacious with everything provided that we needed. Jordan (the host) was available if needed. Very pleasant stay and a good base for trips out.

Lovely quaint cottage, out the way enough for a peaceful evening, but still close enough to amenities! Has everything you could want!

Heating kept turning on when it was quite warm already. We turned it down but always returned to a hot cottage in the evening. It uses a nest like thing which kept resetting… really annoying

Beautiful cottage set in a lovely peaceful location, while still near enough to shops . Brilliant location for Brecon beacon walks, trips to the Pembroke coastline and days to Cardiff. Lovely hosts, fantastic little cottage . The kitchen was bright, beautiful and we found ourselves gathering there every morning over a coffee and every tea time while cooking dinners. The sitting room was cosy and comfy for chill time in the evenings while the beds were super comfy for a fantastic night's sleep.The decor of the cottage was quirky and fun and I was rather envious of a few of the items !!

A lovely self catering accommodation, very well equipped with nice touches such as teabags, washing up liquid etc. Set in a quiet backwater within a mile of the town centre. Very homely and nicely decorated.

The bed was a bit creaky but comfortable all the same. No complaints here :) Everything was easy to find and in working order. The shower head had a tendency to droop during use but again it's just small detail and can be easily addressed.

It was quirky and interesting. The garden was large and backed by beautiful countryside.

The stairs were quite steep and narrow.
