Riad Hicham in Marrakech

Logement impeccable: super spacieux, confortable et agréable. Mais ce que nous retiendrons le plus de notre séjour, c’est Sana la propriétaire d’une gentillesse et d’une douceur remarquable ! Elle a été aux petits soins avec nous, très arrangeante et toujours prête à aider. Elle a un don pour transformer n’importe quelle problématique en une solution, facile, comme par magie ! Grâce à elle, nous avons pu organiser l’anniversaire surprise de l’une de nos amies, apprendre à cuisiner un couscous traditionnel et le déguster avec sa famille (tout aussi adorable) et louer une voiture pour 5 jours pour partir dans le désert du jour au lendemain. Nous recommandons fortement ce logement et surtout l’hôte Sana qui va bien nous manquer! Merci pour tout Sana :)

Last week we stayed a couple of days in Marakech in riad Hicham. It,s a spacious, lovely riad with everything you,ll need. Even if you,re walking with a walker like I do, there is plenty enough space inside and it,s an easy acces from the outside. The bedrooms are on the first, second and third floor and have there own bathroom. Also there is a solid rail on the stairs you can hold on to, so getting to the first floor was in this case no problem for me. The riad itself is in a closed comunity, so that means there are guards outside the gate. Sana and her daughter speak very well English so communication is no problem, and you can ask them anything if you need help. In fact Sana and Hicham saved my trip! They know what I mean :-) If you go outside the riad it,s only a 30 meter walk to two simple restaurants with their dilicious food. Also there are a few small shops for your daily needs. The atmosphere is peaceful. The taxi of Ismail will take you in 10 minutes to the center and his black van has enough room for 5 people incluiding luggage. Call or WhatsApp +212.633.751.900 and he will be there in a few minutes. He will drive you savely trough the fantastic, chaotic and bussy streets of the city. For me it was so good to be back on Moroccan soil again!!!! The only thing what botherd me a bit was how the (female) tourists were dressed. Respect the country and their relegion and dress properly! Yeah...I know.....my opinion.

The kindness and helpfulness of Sanaa, the person in charge of the riad, she was always there for any of our needs and was very kind, She also made us tea for several days and made us some of the best meals of our entire stay in Marrakech. Apart from all this, the riad had all the relevant amenities and a bathroom for each of its rooms. In general, our stay here was wonderful.

House was clean, Sana the manager, and her daughter were very friendly and so helpful at all times. Good location, some good cafés nearby in the complex.

Would be helpful to have a microwave, needs a curtain for the 3rd floor window, roof needs a lock and front door lock, the bolt doesn't work properly. Also would be helpful for a Muslim family if there were facilities to make wudu and bathroom sprays (or jugs) for cleaning, not just toilet tissue. But overall, it was a very good stay. Just minor things really.
