Terracotta beach house

The locality right on the beach was perfect - no packing of whatever is needed at beach with small child. The sea was warm and clear, eventhough we had really windy week there. We tried both bakeries in Lefkimmi and also some restaurants and café recommened by Tony, thanks for that! We also had car from the owner and picking up car and keys at airport was very easy.

Close by beach , beach chairs are available and free of charge , close by restaurant . Householders are very friendly and helpful .

The house is located at a quiet low key beach called Alikes, away from the tourist hubbub. Even on a busy weekend, it was still nowhere near crowded. Vacationers are mainly families with kids. The sea is shallow and the water very warm. Ideal for children. The house is well-furnished and equipped with everything you need. And last but not least - the host Tony and his parents are extremely welcoming and kind people, who made our stay even more enjoyable.

The mosquitoes were annoying after the sunset, but with a good repellent we could chill out a couple of nights outside.

We really liked the location and the property, it was perfect for our family of 4 (2 kids, 4 and 7). The sea was really close, sandy, and shallow extending out far, so it was very convenient with the kids. The 2 kayaks provided by the host came really handy as we were able to explore the nearby port and general area. The host was very welcoming and helpful, we met the host's family and relatives, who have a house just next to the property. They were very kind and a pleasure to meet. There is a taverna (Petrakis) next door with great food (we ate there probably 5-6 times, they have a good selection of fresh fish, no traditional greek food though while we were there - they are fast to serve, check on you even if there are a lot of people). The town of Lefkimmi is very charming with good restaurants. Few tourists, mostly very friendly locals. Try a sofrito at Agkali and a nice gyros at ΟΔΟΣ ΡΙΓΓΛΑΔΩΝ ΛΑΔΟΚΟΛΛΑ.

There was nothing we did no like about the place and the host. Before we left the host was asking about our feedback, which was great to hear, to make sure he can improve for the next guest. Unrelated to the property: The mosquitos .. they start being active around 7-8, so being outside is a bit more problematic for kids. Make sure to close the mosquito net doors on the property so they can't get in. They go away for some reason after 2 hours or so, so it's fine after. I think the property is well equipped to deal with them, but some still might get in and do what a mosquitos does. Trash: needless to say it needs to be taken out frequently in hot weather (the property has very good air conditioning - we only run it while inside). The closest location to us was 2 mins away with a car by the port.

Wow, just had the most incredible stay at the Terracotta beach house. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the warm water was perfect for my kids. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful ocean right at our doorstep. The house itself was stunning, equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was the perfect family getaway. Highly recommend this place for families. We can't wait to come back again soon! Tony the host was incredibly helpful, ensuring we had a fantastic experience. The house is amazing, really nicely decorated and well equiped. We also appreciated nice garden with direct access to the beach.The location is perfect and safe for kids. There is a nice restaurant just next to the house where we had food and coffee every day. The communication with Tony was smooth and efficient.

please be aware of mosquitos in the evenings and bring some repelent if you want to spend time outside

We stayed at the Terracotta Beach House between 29-06 July 2023. First of all the location is absolutely amazing, just in front of the beach. The house is very very beautiful, very clean, has everything you need in it. There is a beautiful garden in front and at the back. Secondly, Tony and his family are amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure we are safe and that our journey was unforgettable. Tony was always chatting with us through messages to ensure we have everything we need. We will definitely go back as it was an amazing holiday, perfect location and host.

No dishwasher. Thin mattresses.
