Yr Hen Siop - 4 bed welsh cottage in Snowdonia

Cozy home, very spacious, with a well equiped kitchen. The communication with the host was very easy. The area is very calm, with many trails in the area. Would like to stay longer to enjoy the area and amenities more.

The pillows were a little too soft. It is not so close to Bewts-y-Coed, but that was not a problem to us.

Lovely surroundings, comfortable

The shower was temperamental The bedding smelt so I had to ask the host to change it The towels were inadequate for adults It was not very clean

The house was comfortable, clean, well situated and had parking for 3 cars

One combined bathroom and toilet for a group of 8 people was a stretch

Excellent location and a beautiful little end of terrace 3 bedroom cottage, opening the curtains in the morning was a treat and the views were amazing. We had booked to take the dog with us which wasnt a problem but a last minute change of mind and she stayed at home, amazing walks right on the doorstep and the views from the old slate quarry were worth the climb. The beds were comfy and the rooms a good size Would stay here again - very good comms prior to stay with the owners

No major issues with the stay, the garden could do with the grass cutting as this stopped us using it which was a bit of a shame but overall only a small issue

The scenery

Needed better cleaning had alot of mold around window in front bedroom and bathroom ceiling pluss very old cobwebs and the saucepans handles are loose also need new cooking utensils one metal pot had a crack in the side.

The location is superb for hikes.

The property was not clean. The bedding was done only in two of the bedrooms. The shower although new was not working properly (not enough pressure). Neither of the fireplaces worked properly.

Spacious cottage everything you could need,comfortable beds and living.Tv and WiFi plenty of dvds. Plenty of toys and crafty things for the kids to keep them occupied,went down really well. Really tranquil location -just bit abit far from everything for us,but value for money.

Value for money-Just abit to far off the beaten track for us..Ideal if you want to be away from everything.
