Villa Toivo

Das Haus passt gut zu Familien mit 5-6 Kindern, + im EG 1 Zimmer für Oma u. Opa. Die Sauna wurde oft benutzt. Es ist sehr ruhig, gut um sich richtig zu erholen. Am Abend sahen wir im Garten oft ein riesiger Wildhase.

Nichts, außer vielleicht das die Vorhänge etwas mehr abdecken könnten. Dass Licht von Draußen/ Wegbeleuchtung war etwas hell.

Location was super. We hired cars but all attractions were only a short drive away. House was spotless, could not fault cleaners at all! House was also super warm (maybe too warm :-) Decor may not be to everyone's liking, a little old fashioned and more traditional, but for us that was its charm as we don't like modern decor. House was very spacious and we had lots of room for our large group. House was well stocked and they had all the basics and well stocked cupboards with lots left from other guests. Modern clean kitchen, fully equipped for cooking meals. Sauna was a bonus. Kids loved that there was outdoor space to play, sled and build snowmen. Sleds available at the house also. We had an issue with electric fault and i messaged the owner who phoned me back immediately and talked me through locating the fuse box and the matter was sorted straight away. I would definitely recommend for larger families or groups, and would return again ourselves.

Not the owners faults but the next set of guests arrived at 10am and placed several suitcases at the front door and were waiting in and around the driveway for us to checkout at 12. We were cleaning and packing and it was a little awkward.

location, spacious as major two points. very easy to coordinate with the owner. also he provided us excellent suggestions for Aurora hunt. there are supermarket and resturants in walking distances. the kitchen is fully loaded. overall a great experience and woudl love to come back again.

we liked everything.

The house was comfortable, clean, homely, and family-friendly. The location is perfect. Outside the city so it is quiet and has a beautiful garden for the kids to play in the snow (plenty of sleds provided by the hosts) and just a few minutes taxi ride to city and SCV. We could have walked to Roveneimi centre in 15 minutes, but chose not to, simply because the kids would have stopped to play with snow every few yards! Very good value for money. We were glad we chose this place to stay instead of a hotel or apartment, for a more authentic Lappish feel. Good communication from the host (we didn't meet him, but he made sure we could make contact if we had any problems). We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a home away from home feel on their Roveneimi trip.

Decor a bit dated, but a nice atmosphere

Clean and warm when we got in had loads of kitchen ware and was close to centre. Also the owner was very polite when dealing with them.

Large house. With full facilities. Nice kitchen. Spacious.

How close it is to rovaniemi....but still private enough..the kids.loved everything...the host was fantastic and kept in contact all the time...this bill worked so well for us that we will definitely be back ..

The property was in the most perfect setting. A quiet neighborhood around 15 mins walk from town centre. Just 10 mins walk to the Artikum/pilke museum and frozen river (a great viewing place for the northern lights!). A couple of k market supermarkets within 10 mins walk. Bus stop for Santa Claus village/kotatieva/airport etc only 15 mins walk. 15 mins taxi from airport and 15 mins taxi ride to Santa Claus village. The villa was so well stocked making cooking for a big group very easy. We were 3 families and had ample space. Plenty of fresh towels and bedding. A good supply of sledges in the garden , the kids adored sledging in the garden and trapsing in the deep snow nearby in the neighborhood. The shower room with 2 amazingly warm and powerful showers was ideal for getting all the children showered and the adults enjoyed the on site sauna. The drying room was fantastic and all our kit was always dry within a few hours. The house was beautifully warm at all times. The owner Arto was very responsive to all our questions and so helpful and accommodating. We all agreed this was the best property we had ever stayed in and it totally made our trip. There was nothing we didn't like.

Excellent house . Perfect for 10 of us. Loads of space out the back for kids to play. Only 15mins walk to town. Perfect location

The lock box and keys worked well. The beds were comfortable and the mattress toppers were wonderful. We loved having a sauna. The kitchen had very good equipment. The house was warm and cozy in spite of the very cold temperatures. The house was in an excellent location - walking distance to Rovaniemi. The owner was responsive and answered any query immediately - very helpful.
