Silver Pond Lodge

Good location for the event we were attending that weekend. Plenty of space for all of us and nice outside area for braaiing.

It wasn't as clean as I would have expected. The window sills had plenty of dust/dirt/dead flies on them, there were also some huge cobwebs and the windows/sliding doors very very dirty. The towels for showering were super small, not much more in size than a hand towel. The fridge also wasn't working and it leaked water all over the floor so we had to use a fridge in the garage. The garage also had some random broken items in there, including a chair, which isn't a great look.

Spacious home with a lovely braai set up.

Size of house, location, facilities, responsiveness and flexibility of hosts.

Nothing not to like. Was a bit worried about small kids and steep stairs and dams in close proximity.

Loved the beds. Wow. Every bed was comfortable The owner was super generous. Very interactive and helpful. Rooms clean, we braaied and had everything we needed. Loved it.

Security process into the estate is terrible. Inconsistent and takes forever. Not sure what the point of the sticker is.
