L'alloggio è ampio, luminosissimo e rifinito con gusto; piacevole anche trovare una serie di comodità inaspettate (macchina del caffè con cialde Nespresso, piano cottura a induzione, soprattutto aria condizionata in tutte le stanze). L'accoglienza dei proprietari è stata calorosissima e abbiamo trovato ad attenderci frutta, dolci tipici, una bottiglia di raki e l'essenziale già presente in frigo e in dispensa. I bambini hanno apprezzato il giardino e il campetto da basket/parco giochi situato nelle vicinanze dell'appartamento. Posizione eccezionale per visitare l'area nord ovest di Creta, a circa 20 minuti sia da Chania che da Kissamos, 45 minuti da Balos e Falasarna e circa un'ora da Elafonissi e Paleochora.

Unico dettaglio da migliorare potrebbe essere la presenza di un'aspirapolvere per le pulizie quotidiane (andando spesso in spiaggia portavamo qualche granello in casa e pulire con scopa e paletta a volte è un po' difficoltoso). Si tratta comunque veramente di un appunto minimo nel quadro di una sistemazione assolutamente eccezionale!

Nice, clean, well equipped place near a main road. There is a wide parking space inside. The location is good for visiting Balos, Falasarna and other western beaches with a car. Stefanos and his family were very nice.

Creta Galini House is an apartment covering entire second floor of a private house in Sirili village. On the ground floor, there is another apartment where the mother of the house owner's, the grandlady Irini lives. The house is surrounded by a fenced and well-kept, green grassy backyard. In the yard, there is a lot of parking space for a car of any size. You can drive in the yard through the gates that close and open with an automatic system handled by a remote controller attached to the house keys. Also, in the yard, there is a grill and a greek oven. The apartment itself is spacious. The living room has windows in three directions with view on rural landscapes. Everything is renovated and quite fresh. The kitchen inventory is impressive: from abundance of basic cutlery and kitchenware, to a modern expresso machine. Two bedrooms are also quite spacious and have a lot of storage room. All three rooms have well-functioning and, most important, well-positioned air conditioners. In addition, you have washing machine, iron, ironing desk, drying rack, spacious balcony. The house is in really quiet area and beds were super comfortable. All in all, Creta Galini House is a modern, renovated spacious apartment with everything you need to live from a week to even a whole summer. The best, though, was the host's and his mother's hospitality. They reacted quickly, managed all the minor issues in no time. Irini, in addition, is a real gem of Sirili. She made us her own food everyday. She kicked off with simple pastry and advanced to moussaka, pilaf and kolokitopita like dishes. Not only it was lovely to have a home-made food, it was probably the best moussaka I had on Crete - and I had plenty of them. It felt not like you were staying in a random rental house but more like visiting your grandmother and relatives in the countryside.

Things to consider: - the house is in Sirili village. The closest beach is 5 km away. There are only two or three restaurants in the Sirili village area. So, we knew that and planned that but for those who don't, renting this apartment is strongly recommended with a rental car. Unless, you prefer staying in the Sirili village or move around by taxi. All windows but one have shaders. The one that did not is in the second bedroom (with two single beds). The window has foggy glass and is directed North-West, so it is not really bright in the morning but brighter than it would be with a shader. But it did not disturb our sleep. As a side note: there is no pool in the yard. But as a recommendation, only 6 km away there are two smaller waterparks with all-inclusive for a whole day tickets.

We felt very welcome, they were very kind and there was an adorable super grandma living next door who gave us homemade food and tools for the barbaque. There was also cold water and ingredients for sandwiches waiting for us in the fridge.

It was specious, very nice accomodation with all the facilities needed for a family with children. Washing machine highly appreciated. The host was very wellcoming and the granny downstairs prepared pie for us. Also they were very prompt with responding and helping us. The area is very quite and relaxing. There is a playground nearby.

Its a bit far from the beaches.
