La casa di Anita nel cuore di Segesta

We were welcomed with a smile of Giuseppe that was really attentive in helping us find a way to the street via whatsapp messages. The house was clean and in order, having all you need from the coffe machine to the hair dryer. They even left us breakfast and a in house made melon that made us speechless (it was super delicious)!

The house was on different levels so there are a lot of stairs that could be a problem for some, for us it was not.

The place was very clean, compact, close to amenities & had everything you need including free parking. We were greeted with some lovely fresh cannoli, would definitely stay there again

Very friendly hosts. Good beds. Spacious appartment, fully equipped. Close to some nice sites like the segesta terme and temple.

The town itself is not very special.

Great place if you're planning to see the temples nearby. Fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Giuseppe, the host, is the nicest person ever.

Host was friendly and helpful and very good at communication and met us at the Apt., which has its own entrance. Apartment is big enough and does not feel cramped at all, very nicely updated and decorated. Bedroom upstairs is quite spacious and has 2 night tables with lamps. And, this is the only one in Sicily where everything worked ! Both Kitchen and bath were compact but nice, well equipped and worked well. We didnt use the shower. Good hot water arrived quickly - the tank is in the bathroom and makes a noise when heating, closing the bathroom door at night made that OK. We liked having a table with comfortable chairs within reach of a power socket. Bed was OK. Nice big fridge. It was quiet with occasional traffic noise, but, there was apparently no one in the upstairs apartment The road is narrow but we did find parking nearby both nights

In keeping with all other older areas in hill towns we visited, this Apt. is hard to find. Google maps often makes frequent mistakes in Sicily which causes problems when driving - like its not easy to drive down steps ! Undoubtedly it is easy when you memorize the route - if we had detailed instructions that would have helped. This is a residentail area and here are no bars, restaurants or shops close by.

The host was friendly and attentive, he showed and explained us everything about the house. He also left a little breakfast and a melon as a welcome treat. The property is not new but clean and comfortable. Rooms are located on 2 floors, (kitchen and bathroom is on the second floor). There was everything what was needed there - shower gel/shampoo, olive oil, water, salt, coffee, tea, etc.

Everything was good. Just don’t expect it to be fancy, the house is old-style. :)

Many thanks to Giuseppe for his very amicable personality, his guidance to the house in a tricky little town, and for a very clean and comfortable stay. Much to see in Calatafimi and all enjoyable. Pretty hilly and narrow streets so be prepared! Recommended to all!
