Blue Sky Cottage, Doolin

We recently stayed at Stonecutters Cottage and absolutely loved it. the passion and love that was poured into the renovations and decorating of the cottage was obvious. The cottage was extremely well appointed — warm, cosy, and thoughtfully furnished, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The wood fire was a lovely touch with the dismal weather we experienced. It was a real bonus to have access to a washing machine and dryer during our trip. Everything was clearly explained, which made settling in very easy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout the property. However, we were a little surprised that there was no TV. While we understand the hosts' intention for guests to unwind and enjoy the surroundings, we feel it's best to leave it to each guest to decide how they’d like to spend their time. A night in front of the woodfire watching TV would have completed our stay.

Quiet and everything we needed was there

The bed was too small and we prefer two single bedsheets. We read about the hot water instructions but somehow overlooked the shower pump which we have never seen before. So the first showers where disappointing…

Easy to access from main routes, very close to Doolin, the Cliffs of Moher, and local seaside towns for supermarket shopping. Very comfortable heating and fast hot water activation. Washer and dryer on site was very convenient if laundry was needed.

The atmosphere was so cozy, and everything we needed was right there. The location was close enough to everything we wanted to see and do in the area but still delightfully secluded.

This place is beautiful. Perfect for one person or a couple. The road to get up to it is one way, so it’s important to watch out for oncoming traffic. Once you are at the cottage, though, it’s paradise. Some of the most spectacular views and a beautiful history.

Great little cottage away from it all. Close to Doolin and trips to the cliffs and the islands. It had everything we needed. Great for a couple.
