"Exceptional"

10.0

The property was clean and warm. Everything you needed such as condiments etc were there to be used. The sound system was amazing. Beds were comfortable. Great location for walking to local shops/pubs

The parking not being on site was a bit annoying. But local parking was £20 for 3 days so wasn't too badly priced.

"A well equipped apartment in a pleasant market town."

9.0

The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. Ulverston is a nice market town with a tradition shopping experience and lots of eating options.

The absence of private parking on site is always inconvenient but weekly public parking is available nearby for £36. One of the stairways is very steep for anyone with mobility problems.

"WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WORKED AROUND MY DISABILITY"

8.0

LOCATION VERY GOOD. QUIET BUT WITH EASY ACCESS TO TOWN AND EATERIES EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FOR OUR STAY WITH LOTS OF EXTRAS. LIGHT AND AIRY ACCOMODATION. VERY CLEAN EXCELLENT ACCOMODATION FOR YOUNGER PERSONS AND FAMILIES EASY ACCESS TO DROP OFF CASES AT HOUSE AND TO PARK IN LOCAL CAR PARK ( APPROX 75 METRES) AWAY FOR 3 DAYS AT REDUCED RATE, LOTS OF GOOD LOCAL PRODUCE AND SUPERMARKETS

WHEN BOOKING I DID NOT REALISE THE STAIRS TO UPPER MEZZANINE WERE STEEP GALLEY STAIRS. I FOUND THESE VERY DIFFICULT TO NEGOTIATE AS HAVE ARTHRITIS IN MY KNEES. I MANAGED THE FIRST SET OF STAIRS FROM GROUND TO MIDDLE FLOOR. THIS WAS ENTIRELY MY FAULT BUT FEEL THE ACCOMODATION WOULD SUIT YOUNGER PERSONS ESPECIALLY AS THE BATHROOM IS ON THE GROUND FLOOR WITH MAIN BEDROOM ON 2ND FLOOR

"Great central location and a well appointed property."

9.0

Great location and beautifully finished property. Completely hassle free check in/out. Loads of essential supplies readily available and surprisingly spacious interior. Super comfy beds and sofas. Parking wasn’t a problem for us. there are plenty of car parks a short distance from property, always spaces available and reasonably priced. Loads of great eateries close by too.

The stairs to mezzanine level were very narrow and steep and of a cabin design (half step) which wasn’t reflected in photos or property description. Being an older lady with back problems I did find them a bit of a challenge and actually fell and broke my toe. I think perhaps a short narrative in description or a photo of the stairs to highlight this would be beneficial for others.

"Great location and a spacious house. But the whole house was very dirty"

7.0

Fantastic location right in the centre of Ulverston with easy access to lots of shops. Gilliam’s tea room was lovely and well worth a visit. Also lots of lovely walking routes around. Our favourite was the walk up to the John Barrow monument, quite steep but worth it for the great views at the top. Also it’s an easy drive to the lakes, so it’s worth taking a trip to lake Windermere - about 20 minutes away. In terms of the house itself, it was very spacious and stocked with pretty much everything you could need (bathroom and kitchen essentials). Great value for money

The entire house was in desperate of a very thorough clean, as I’m not sure it had been cleaned for a long time. None of the bedding on any of the beds (including the sofa beds downstairs) had been changed since the last guests. The blinds over the windows were very poor so a lot of light came through, which is tricky when visiting in summer. The stairs up to the top floor were extremely steep with very low sloping ceilings on the top floor.
