Middle Cottage - Tranquil cottage ideal for walkers

Location was good and cottage was cosy

Lack of pressure in the shower and housekeeper turned up at 9:10 on day of departure when the departure time was 10am

Location and character.

For cooks the hob is a nightmare (adjustment of these type of hobs drives you mad if you’re doing proper cooking). Lack of cooking utensils, pans, baking dishes etc. No curtains or blinds downstairs. Blinds upstairs which flap around in the wind if you open the windows (needs curtains!!). Lack of rugs/carpets downstairs and upstairs means noise echoes - minimalist trendy maybe. Practical, cosy? No.

Pretty well equipped cottage in a quiet scenic location

No handrail to upstairs was extremely dangerous for us in our mid seventies and would be for any age We were only informed of the parking once we’d booked. This was awkward for us to load/unload as we couldn’t park outside No curtains in the lounge which we felt exposed and with no privacy

Nothing about the cottage. However it was a bit of a walk to the village pub.

Lovely cottage, very cozy in a quiet location.

Location and quality of accommodation. Everything we needed for a home from home

Felt very welcomed with coffee and scones, cream and jam provided by hosts. Ideal size for two (we didn't need to use the second bedroom). All facilities necessary and cooking facilities provided. Garden areas at the back on terraces warm comfortable, though overlooked by neighbours who were friendly and respected our privacy. The countryside around was beautiful, but we had no time to walk. Very narrow roads, but this was something we got used to and we weren't hurried.

A few more shopping facilities locally for basics, but supermarkets accessible in Dartmouth and Totnes.

A beautiful cottage, equipped perfectly with everything you need. The front garden and the back garden were both beautiful spaces to relax and soak up the sun. The interior is spotless and really well thought out. Theres good wifi and comfy beds. It was an idyllic retreat for people wanting to step away from the busy world. The village has a pub and is good for walks. There was also a lovely welcome at the church. Its only a few minutes drive two great riverside pubs. The Waterman's arms was our favourite. I would heartily recommend this lovely cottage The welcome flapjack was a nice touch!

The parking is not adjacent but theres plenty of room on the lane. Local roads are a little narrow if you're not used to Devonshire lanes!

Cosy cottage for four in a superb location close to great beaches and plenty of walking trails by the coast, dart river or countryside you are spoilt for choices. Cottage has everything you need and the beds are incredibly comfy. Wood burner is great to huddle around on chilly nights.
