Casa do Rio

A casa é optima para passar uns dias. A cozinha está bem equipada. O ar condicionado nos quartos é uma mais valia e a varanda é espectacular. A linha do comboio é perto mas não incomoda absolutamente nada.

A estrada da régua para Covelinhas é muito estreita onde só passa um carro. Indo devagar faz-se tranquilamente , mas prepare-se para uma estrada algo perigosa. Aconselho a não fazer à noite. Se pensar fazer refeições tem de se levar tudo porque não há super nem mercearias.

Adoramos a paisagem, simplesmente deslumbrante. A casa situada mesmo à beira do rio Douro proporciona uma experiência única. Também apreciamos imenso a extrema simpatia com que fomos tratados pelo Sr. Gabriel. Gostamos muito dos produtos biológicos sem químicos, cultivados na propriedade, com que o Sr. Gabriel nos brindou: uvas, vinho, abrunhos e figos. Um sitio excelente para recuperar as energias. La vue depuis la terrasse est vraiment magnifique. Le coin est très calme et loin de tout. C'est un tout petit village où il n'y a qu'un ou deux bars. Gabriel est très aimable.

Les routes pour accéder au village sont vraiment flippantes, sinueuses à souhait et surtout sans glissières côté ravin...

A localização é absolutamente fabulosa. A varanda tem uma vista fantástica (ainda melhor do que imaginei!) a zona é muito tranquila, com a grande vantagem de ter a estação de comboio a menos de 5 minutos a pé. O anfitrião foi também muito atencioso e permitiu que fizesse o check-out um pouco depois do horário previamente apresentado.

Não tenho nada a apontar. A casa é despretensiosa, mas tem tudo o que é essencial.

Beautiful location just next to river Douro. Great views. Very nice winery almost next to the house.

The town has no grocery store/supermarket but you can find everything in a city nearby, 15 minutes drive. No restaurants, either.

The view from the terrace is amazing! The apartment and the terrace are big, the bed was comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. The location was good, although the groceries are far away (go before your arrival), the apartment is not too far from multiple wineries. There are no neighbours who will disturb you! Note that the trains pass many times a day, but not at night. It was an entertainment for our baby!

Some people mentioned that they we offered a visit of the farm and winery, and a fruit platter, but we didn’t get any of this. They also never responded to our check-in message so we were nervous when we got there at 3pm because we had no check-in instructions. Hopefully someone was there to give us the keys! We also asked a question during our stay but they never responded to our message.

The place is stunning in its beauty, Gabriel, who manages the house and the crops, was kind and nice, he helped us with everything and gave us a tour of the winery and the grounds of the house and farm. An interesting and unusual experience

Everything! This charming house exceeded our expectations. While compact, it feels more spacious than it appears, featuring a cozy living area with a comfortable sofa, a fireplace, a dining table, and a well-equipped kitchen that has everything you need. The terrace offers stunning views of the valley and sits right by the river. Although the property is near the train tracks, the noise was much less intrusive than we anticipated, which added to the experience. Ther is also a large outdoor area, complete with citrus trees, almond trees, and chickens. our daughter loved exploring it! The location is ideal for those without a car, just a few minutes' walk from the train station that connects you to various towns and villages in the valley. The village itself is charming, with nice people and a restaurant bar. Above all, there is Gabriel who menage the place. He welcomed us into the place and the village, helped us with everything we needed and more, showed us around and we had super interesting conversation. Our stay was perfect not just because of the house itself, but also because we got to know a wonderful friend with a huge hart.
