Moss Cottage

Location/area fine. Sufficient towels. Basic provisions provided (tea/coffee/sugar). Due to issues and the inability to stay the second night we were partially refunded

Location fine but no parking so a walk with bags, to where a parking space could be found. Was warned of this after booking. Some tired decor. Kitchen tight for space, one person at a time, but then it is a terrace. Some areas not clean (ensuite shower unpleasant). Main issue was a leak from the roof and/or guttering caused water ingress into the bedroom overnight. Kept me awake and I dealt with water by using a bucket. Friend in next room was woken for a number of hours by screaming child next door, transfer of noise through wall. This ruined our stay and we had to find alternative accommodation on the same day we were attending a wedding. Not the owners fault, although there may have been a lack of maintenance to have caused the leaky roof. Other guests have complained about the noisy neighbours, so worth noting.

There was nothing I did,nt like just the screaming child next door which was the letdown

We were attending a wedding in the area and this was a lovely place to stay. Really clean and well equipped, comfy beds and host was very helpful with the check in/check out process! Nice pub garden just down the road too.

Nothing it was great

Great location, couple of pubs, chip shop and corner store for milk and bread. Bus stop so close for transport links.

Bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfortable.

Downstairs rooms felt a bit bleak...a few rugs might help.

Parking is truly terrible, there is no practical way of parking anywhere near it. Not fun with any more than minimal baggage or if you have kids or mobility issues. Issues with cat allergies while staying also.
