Windmills Village Amarynthos

We stayed for two weeks in the summer, and it was absolutely perfect. The highlight? The incredible infinity pool with gorgeous views and the beautifully landscaped garden with plenty of shaded, comfy spots to relax. We used the amazing outdoor kitchen nearly every evening. The unique windmill is ideal for two people and equipped with all the modern comforts: fast and reliable Wi-Fi (even outside!), smart TVs, and other techy gadgets we didn't know how to use. It’s like a smart windmill! 😆 Although the interior is lovely, we spent most of our time outside — around the pool, garden, and outdoor dining area. The hosts were wonderful — always responsive and genuinely caring. A special thanks to Zaphiria, who is so sweet and thoughtful. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of lovely touches, like a welcome cake and a bottle of wine. They even let us stay the full day past checkout as our flight wasn’t until the evening — such a kind gesture that we really appreciated. We can’t recommend this charming little windmill enough. It has everything you need for a relaxing, memorable holiday — and hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay perfect.

Our only complaint would be that the air conditioning is quite noisy. During our first week, there was a terrible heat wave, +40 degrees. We had to have the air conditioner on high to try to keep the room cool at night, so the fan made quite a lot of noise, and in those temperatures, it struggled to cool sufficiently. The following week, when the temperature dropped, the air conditioner worked well enough, but it was still noisy. For longer stays, note that there is no washing machine, but Zaphiria kindly did some washing for us during our stay 😀.

Vse je bilo preprosto čudovito. To je mali raj na zemlji. Lokacija je odlična, vse imaš na dosegu roke; pa vseeno si umaknjen od dnevnega vrveža. Gostiteljica zelo prijazna in pozorna.

The view is stunning, and you can see the ocean from your bed. Everything was spotless, very clean and fresh.

An amazing place with excellent facilities, great views & comfortable. The infinity pool & outdoor cooking area were particular highlights.

Spectacular view! Great refreshing pool, lots of outside space with comfortable sunbeds and bean bags. Easy to find. Responsive host. Really quirky and unique place to stay.

For the price paid, and comparing it to many other places I’ve stayed, I was expecting a little more ‘luxury and attention to detail.’ For instance there was no bottle opener, only one small cutting knife not really sufficient to cut meat. The BBQ had no grill, just a small handheld fish basket. Only 1 toilet roll. No kitchen roll. No spare bin bags. No washing up sponge / cloth. The air conditioning unit needs an upgrade, as it is very noisy and didn’t really get cool enough. It’s not totally private as it is overlooked by the 3 villas above.
