Excellent quiet location, very clean and comfortable.

The house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen very well equipped with everything you could need. Very comfortable bed and good quality bedding. Plentiful supply of hot water and good shower . Lots of homely touches including a turntable and a wide range of albums , books , games , maps and even a piano . There was also a mezzanine level that had bean bags and would be an ideal space for youngsters. We didn’t use the garden but it was attractive and there were several areas where you could sit and relax and a BBQ and dining table. Would highly recommend.

Nothing . We were there as a couple so the living space was very generous but the house could accommodate 6 people in 3 bedrooms. In the sitting area there was a couch and two arm chairs so you would need to move a chair from the adjoining area for everyone to sit together.

House decor was amazing, the duvet was the best I ever slept in, house was secluded, views were amazing.

Surrounded by open countryside and panoramic views, Mid Coullie is beautifully appointed, spacious, homely, cosy, very well equipped and comfortable. While we visited as a couple this property sleeps six and there would still be plenty of room with the snug and play loft offering flexibility for larger party and age needs. It was a joy to listen to some of the eclectic mix of vinyl LP’s on the turntable and to browse the wide selection of books and fun games - we did not use the TV! The piano is a lovely touch too and I enjoyed reconnecting with playing some old tunes I have not played in half a life time! Mid- Coullie offers a great base for touring we visited Stonehaven which was delightful and only 20 mins away. We enjoyed a good into the forest above the property which offers lovely vistas to view the countryside around. There are good shops in nearby Laurencekirk (10 mins) if you need anything during your stay. We would definitely return here for another stay- perhaps for a bit longer next time. Rachel is a great host, lots of good communication and a warm welcome.

Nothing - exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic stay. Cottage is beautiful, garden is lovely with stunning views. Completely private. Very well decorated with good quality furnishings and spotless. Breakfast was continental style so really convenient. Kitchen has everything needed including condiments, seasonings, tea and coffee etc. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break. Rachel is lovely and extremely helpful.

Couldn't fault it.

Great house and location which suited us. Wifi and ev charger. Bedside sockets to charge phones (how times have changed!).

Be prepared for difficult farm roads. Having to ring on arrival for key box location and number.
