Everything was great

An incredibly quiet and peaceful place. Jackie met us on arrival and made us so very welcome. The lodge is perfectly furnished with everything you could need and it's spotlessly clean. Such a secluded oasis of tranquility. The adjacent stream provided a wonderful background sound. We had such a relaxing weekend.

We didn't want to leave!

Very peaceful and cozy. Came here for work duties however I’d love to come back with my partner at some point. Brilliant and welcoming hosts. No faults with this place, everything I could have wanted and more. Also bed is the comfiest I’ve stayed in. 5*

The cabin was as described. Comfortable bed, functioning shower and toilet and some basic catering facilities, plus the sofa and dining table. Outside there is a decking-area overlooking a garden that is very soothing for the eyes. The location is quiet and peaceful. The microwave/grill/oven gadget had far more controls than my simple mind prefers but the instructions were on a sheet right behind it. There were information sheets (for food ordering, eating-venues, places to visit, etc) in a folder. It is a reasonable starting point for day-trips and a good place to return to afterwards. The WiFi worked well. Parking was very easy on the private driveway and I was greeted on arrival by Jackie, who then showed me in to the cabin. Jackie provided a proper invoice for my business expenses claim.

There was nothing that I disliked. I think the cabin would be a good choice for couples on romantic trips, and for solo travellers on general leisure trips. I'd consider this to be a good very good place to disengage from a hectic world and relax with some books and the occasional walk. People travelling for work, and needing to be able to work in the accommodation will find that there is enough space to use a laptop computer, and some accessible electrical sockets. I had no network mobile phone signal at all but the cabin WiFi will apparently handle mobile phone calls if your hand-held device has this feature. Internet access via WiFi was fine.

This was a last minute booking and the owners reacted brilliantly to our late request. The setting the lodge is situated in is beautiful and the quality of the Lodge and it's fittings are excellent. The owners are lovely people and their hard work is evident in their attention to detail within the Lodge and its surroundings. A real gem of a property, we will most certainly be back.

Really friendly and helpful hosts. The holiday home is lovely, really clean and very comfortable. One of the best places to sit outside on the balcony and have a nice cup of tea in the morning.

Didn't like that I couldn't stay any longer due to work commitments. Will definitely stay there again and will recommend to anyone.

From the beginning to the end just amazing There are no words to describe the hospitality and help from Jackie. She is always on top of everything. I asked her to prepare a little surprise for my partner and it wasn’t little, it was a big beautiful surprise he prepared in very delicate, glamorous and elegant way. And from there you can just imagine how helpful she was. I you want to have a kind of peaceful good time off I would totally recommend this place.
