The location is amazing. The house has the potential to be fantastic. The castle grounds are lovely and it is a beautiful part of the country The beds were comfortable and well made, plenty of towels provided. WI-FI.

I hope to be honest in my review, and I am saddened by the hosts attitude towards us as guests. Overpriced for the lack of attention to detail at the property. It could be easily resolved by the host. So hopefully, it will be in the future, but do check first. We found issues with the property. I approached the host privately after we had left with pictures we took on arrival. I did not contact the host during the stay as we had a full schedule, and the issues were not quick fixes. I was also put off by the initial interaction with the host that I will mention below and did not want any altercations during our stay. The host may live nearby, but we were unaware of this at the time of our stay. The host must have been aware that repairs were needed to the property in advance of our stay but did not inform us of any issues with the accommodation. I can't fault the location of the property, which is lovely. However, when I raised the issues we experienced with the host privately, she was rude and certainly not interested in taking any responsibility for maintenance needed at her property to make it safe for guests. The host made a threat that she would 'ensure other hosts knew about me...' When I raised a complaint about my stay with booking.com. I had tried to raise it privately with her first to avoid a negative review. I know these reviews are not helpful for hosts, but I do not appreciate threats. I will list some of the issues we found below. This is not an inclusive list but will give you a general idea. The host said we left at 11.30. We left just before 10.30, which was our check-out time. The host was not there when we left, so she is not sure why she thinks we left later than we did. The shower in the main bathroom was not safe. It is not safe to have a shower turned on and off via an extractor fan pull cord.

Fantastic house. So warm and had everything you could need for a stay. Even had little extras in the bathroom for girls ❤️
