Fabulous location in a beautiful, secluded area, affording stunning countryside views and privacy. The grounds and access to garden with use of a hot tub, BBQ and tennis courts.

The BBq needed cleaning before use, and clearly hadn’t been checked after the last tenants left. Some of the carpets had visible stains, and parts of the house were in need of some TLC, including signs of wear and tear on various curtains, and some of the bathroom fixtures, which although perfectly functional, would benefit from updating.

Our group had an amazing stay at this property! The place was spacious, incredibly clean, and the beds were very comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The host was lovely—friendly, quick to respond, very informative, and extremely accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. There were, however, a few minor inconveniences. While the kitchen was large, there were no dedicated living room spaces, which made it a bit tricky for a big group to relax together comfortably. The only smart TV was in a bedroom, so entertainment options were limited unless you brought your own devices or speakers. Additionally, the cooker was quite slow, so if you plan on cooking, be sure to allow extra time. The jacuzzi was a great feature but took a while to heat up. Also, if you plan to use the fireplace or jacuzzi at night, be aware that there are no outdoor lights, so consider bringing extra lighting if needed.

Brook Hall proved to be an substantial property for a group of 11 friends. Lovely rooms all very clean and spacious. The traditional kitchen was well stocked with all necessary items needed for our stay. Hot tub was a great addition to the weekend! It was was in a good location in a village with a local pub in walking distance which we used for a very nice meal. Communications with owner were very good.

Fresh quality bread, butter, eggs and milk were left for us which was lovely. The location was perfect with the property set in beautiful grounds. Lovely Cedar and Yew trees, tennis court in the grounds and hot tub. The property itself is splendid, oozing charm and character. Great facilities and a large kitchen to enjoy. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

No complaints whatsoever

We booked to stay here with our family on our wedding weekend, we got Married at Riley-Smith Hall in Tadcaster just a few miles away. The house was beautiful, the children loved the location and the beautiful garden to play in. The bedrooms were perfect for our needs - I had a lovely bath on my wedding morning, in a gorgeous cast iron bath with the most beautiful view through the old sash windows. We loved the eco-friendly cleaning products and the rooms are decorated beautifully. Would recommend for anyone needing a stay in the area for a special occasion or a family break. My only regret is not having more time to spend in such a beautiful, historic property. The hosts were even kind enough to leave us some beautiful courgettes on the doorstep which my Grandma was thrilled with. I hope we have an occasion to stay again!

The house is lovely, lots of space for lots of people and the walled garden with the hot tub was definitely a highlight! The kitchen was well kitted out to cater for larger groups. The owner was very accommodating. It is a very beautiful house and was nice and clean. We had a wonderful time there celebrating!

Location

Overpriced, unclean kitchen , filthy sofa. No space once 13 of us sat round table . uncomfortable beds and pillows. Dirty stained carpets . Dead bugs and spiders everywhere. No storage in most bedrooms . Only one decent shower in the damp basement. No lounge area , misleading photos

Lovely building with a great walled garden space for bbqs and games.

The limited information regarding where we were allowed to access areas of the grounds. No sitting room no TV. No tea towels in kitchen. All minor issues but need addressing.

Broken rotten windows and mould in Bathrooms. Games room wasnt very clean. carpet wasn’t clean enough. There is spiders nest in few rooms. when we been there we’ve seen scaffolding all around the property. That was not mentioned when we booked the property. No breakfast provided on first day. When we asked for breakfast he brings breakfast in the afternoon times with 12 eggs for 16 people, Milk & 1 bread, when we all were outside. The service was very poor.
