A stunning location, with the property itself tastefully decprated and well maintained. All amenities catered for. The hosts were amazing suggesting walks to do near by, activities around and helping to get used to the peninsula lifestyle.

"Wonderful, peaceful retreat"

10.0

Wonderful quiet and remote location to get away from it all. Just a few minutes walk from the sea! The steading was decorated for Christmas for us, and fresh bread provided. Plenty of room, and well equipped with everything you'd need in the kitchen.

This is a very remote stay, with a long drive down single track roads and no local amenities, it won't be for everyone!

"Lovely surroundings but check Google maps satellite to see the proximity of other buildings"

7.0

The surroundings were amazing with great walks and scenery. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you needed. We were advised by the owners to bring our own groceries, kitchen roll, just general provisions as the property is 12 miles from the nearest store. There was some tea and coffee and a super loaf of freshly baked bread. The lounge upstairs was nice with plenty of seating. The double bed was very comfortable.

I wish I had looked at Google maps satellite view because then I would have seen that the property was in fact set behind the owners house and did not have the uninterrupted view of the water that the pictures on Booking.com portray. Also, the shower was and underpowered electric shower which was so weak that I was unable to wash my hair or even feel particularly clean as to increase the heat in the electric shower, decreased the water flow so much that it was just not fit for purpose. The last moan that we have is that the towels were extremely small bath towels rather than a bath sheet.

A draining board at the sink would have been great when washing the dishes.

"another fantastic area of scotland , an oasis of tranquility"

10.0

Beautiful location, the area is stunning because it is remote , nature is your entertainment. The steading has been lovingly restored and the picture windows come reading nooks are fantastic, there is everything you need for a very comfortable break ( fridge/freezer is big enough as you need to take all food required for your stay) Jeremy&Claire are extremely helpful , and were available if you had any issues ( we had no problems )
