Romantic Cottage with Wood-fired Hot tub and Outdoor Pizza Oven

I booked this place to GET AWAY! That's exactly what we did! It's in the middle of nowhere, which is what we needed...no bustle, no traffic, just pure unadulterated escapism! The cottage was prepared beautifully for our arrival, check out the extras before you book and make your stay extra special! Pour a drink and relax in the tub under the stars to the sound of....nothing but nature and the crackle of the woodfire.....bliss. log burner was lovely and the cottage is equipped with everything you'll need for a self catering break. DO STOCK UP on food and drinks, before arrival, it's 20 minutes drive to the nearest shops. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with an undercounter fridge with small icebox, so you can take whatever you might need or want, within reason. The host left us to our own devices completely, but was very attentive and helpful, from booking, to arrangung special extras, and was fast to reply to messages during our stay, which made sure everything was perfect 👌🏻 We don't usually book the same place twice but we're sure we will be heading back to unwind again before long!

It's not that we disliked it, but it's worth mentioning....this place is remote...leave yourself an extra 5-10 mins to drive the last mile, take your time on the rural road, and you can trust Google Maps... we genuinely thought we'd taken a wrong turn, but the cottage is just legit in the middle of nowhere 😂

It was a lovely place to get away from the stresses of life. Michelle and Neil are great and should be really proud of what they've accomplished.

Cottage is really lovely and has lots of character. Very relaxing weekend away, great hospitality from Michelle and Neil. Nice walks in the area and hot tub was so lovely and hot!

Just a recommendation, a rug in the living room area for the dog to lie on next to the fire. Sky TV was intermittent so maybe get rid of Sky and just have the Freeview. The main front door could do with looking at as a little awkward to close.

If you're looking for a relaxing break I would recommend Rita's. The facilities are great, it was clean and very comfortable, the hot tub was a great bonus as was the wood burner.

Hot tub was lovely. Michelle was lovely too. The location is very peaceful, however the road to the cottage is in a terrible state and the last part is unpaved. If you have a 'low' car, don't come here.

Sofa needs replacing - very uncomfortable. Bed is comfy but too big for the bedroom - if you are more than size 18 you will struggle to get into the showerroom. Oven is old and wasn't working properly. Wood burner hadn't been cleaned out, so we had to remove all the cinders before using it. Telephone number on the website didn't get through to anyone.
