Pilan Lodge Lofoten

Everything was great — super clean, comfy beds, enough towels, well-equipped kitchen with coffee and all essentials, washing machine and drying rack (both electric and stand), terrace, and good atmosphere overall. The location is also amazing — right by the main road, making it super easy to reach all the Lofoten sights (we never drove more than 2.5h).

Just one combined bathroom (toilet + shower), which can be a bit tricky with a larger group — something to keep in mind.

Everytung was really clean. The views from the house were amazing. The beds were comfortable.

Wonderful place, with comfy living room and dining room with great view. We were in 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) and it was perfect. The best surprise was the waterfall behind the house, with easy access and kind of river-area which is a great place for kids to play, if there are no heavy rains. The communication with the owners was perfect with quick responses and helpful information. We very appreciated washing machine and a dryer, which was in the basement (although we had to go outside to reach the basement, the washing machine and dryer wasn't heard by us in the house, so there was no bothering sound). For us the place was great, as the kids could have played outside safely.

There was nothing that we didn't like - maybe just missed - since it was raining (but not heavily) and quite warm at the same time, we could have used the terrace more if there was any roof (table and chair wouldn't get wet). Oh, and if you have a light dream, you might be woken up by other people going down to the toilet during night,as it is a wooden house and stairs can be heard.

We had a wonderful stay at Pilan Lodge. Anne-Grete and Stig were lovely hosts and were really helpful. They really took care of us when we had any question and respected our privacy when needed. Thanks a lot for the time and your wonderful house!

We stayed at this house for four nights with four people. The house is extremely spacious (in fact, probably to big for us four), and it is probably the best equipped house we have encountered in Norway (laundry facilities, best coffeemaker, and everything you can imagine in a kitchen). The house is extremely well maintained, with a lot of welcome attention to details, a great view from the sitting room. The owner responded to our questions in virtually no time. And yes, the house is close to the E-10, but we knew this and it was no problem at all thanks to the build of the house. For us, it was perfectly located to explore this part of Lofotes.

Absolutely nothing we did not expect.

Spacious, clean, full equipped kitchen. Host offers to borrow the hiking maps/books- it was rather useful. Nice view from all windows: to waterfalls, fiords. 4 bedrooms with double beds.

The house looks luxury and has 8 beds. But it has just 1 WC & shower and both in 1 room. So it takes time in the evening & morning, when all 8 people wants to use WC & shower. It would be good to have an umbrella in terrace. The house is near the main road, so it is rather noisy if you keep windows opened.

Such a cozy house, perfect for our group of 7. The views from every angle were wonderful! The kitchen was well equipped, and the entire home very clean. We appreciated being able to use the laundry in the home. The owners were very attentive.

Blackout curtains in the bedrooms would be a nice addition. The bathroom is on the main floor, and bedrooms upstairs, which was fine for our group, but if narrow stairs are an issue this may not be a good fit. Again, minor “issues”, we would absolutely stay again and highly recommend!
