Willow Cottage

I booked this cotrage to meet clients in Kent. All my clients live locally. Westerham shops are independent and intresting.Full Refund Requested As set out in all related correspondence and echoed in multiple reviews on booking.com Wrong entry code at start of booking left us hanging resulting in our son going hungry. Owner suggested her mother in law restaraunt to eat and drink whilst she drove to us. We had no e.t.a from owner assumed as it was now time for us to break our fast we must eat and drink (non alcholic). As prior stated we never agreed a drink on a £170 pound food bill was compensation. The cottage.... Cooker knobs have no numbers (worn) making the hob and cooker dangerous to use. Old lime scaled hob kettle had to buy a new kettle due to hob and kettle of owner unsafe. Heating on a timer freezing at night. Single bed had nails sticking out. No brush no dustpan no hoover. Mould or damp areas behind sofa. No anti slip matt in the bath very slippy and dangerous. Stairs are half size steps no hand rails on right hand side very dangerous a hazard. Double camera monitor outside on either end of cottage found breach of privacy by owners. Not a five star accommadation not even a four or three or two or one... Pavement outside is short and heavy traffic 24/7 very noisy and dirty when a window is opened for air. Missing handels on cupboards Fittings are wrongly screwed for left handed only. No extra blankets one light duvet hair of previous users... No cleaning midway to refresh bedding or towels.. Old christmas decorations left in cupboards No wardrobes No washing machine or dishwasher No welcome pack or instructions about anything... Totally unsuitable for two week lets just not up to long stay due to poor service delivery £185 A day! We booked two weeks husband left with son after day four days early.... I had work booked so i had to stay on...

Booking.com false star ratimg Booking .com staff making allegations against me. Owner showed no business sense in her interactions. Third party claiming she was the host never heard of her and data breach of my private contact details. Husband and son left early due to the many issues at the cottage Had to leave due to harassment from multiple parties. Owner lied throughout about everything. Turned a family holiday into a test of patience and stress. Had to buy hoovet brushes kettle blankets towels. Light switches loose All taps fitted back to front... Had to put our clothes in the airing cupboards no wardrobes or large drawers. Heater on a timer freezing at night. No slip mat in bath. No instructions on anything Cooker knobs had no numbers on them Owner and alleged host failed to apologise throughout.

Cozy cottage, close to shops bars and restaurants in Westerham.

Very close to the main road with resultant traffic noise but it did quieten down at night.

The location right on High Street was perfect for us since we didn’t have a car. Restaurants and shops were within easy reach, and WesterhamCars provided reliable transportation when we visited Chartwell. The property was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The owners were lovely people and were immensely patient and helpful when we ran into a problem with the locking device on the door that was very different than locks in the US. We really enjoyed our stay in Westerham and wish we had scheduled a few more days to our stay since there was much more to be explored.

The wonderful location on High Street came with pretty loud traffic noises during the day, but that was only a minor problem for us. There was no noise problem at night and we slept well.

The property was perfect! Right on the high street, very well decorated, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

You could hear the traffic passing by, but I think that’s the cost you pay for being so central.

Good location comfy bed

We felt that it was a bit dilapidated in places broken bits of furniture and some handles falling off . Also the kitchen could do with some updated equipment and more cooking item provided it was definitely not well equipped like other stays we have had also a kettle and toaster provided is a must even a stove kettle was provided but we are in 2025 also the lounge area was not cosy as it could be also a fan would be appreciated as having any windows open is shockingly loud

Pretty cottage very convenient for visiting Squerryes Court and Chartwell.

No more residents parking so had to keep moving our car around as max 2-3 hours parking everywhere. Road very busy during weekdays.
