Surf Beach Views - Whangamata Holiday Home

Excellent location with access to the beach especially with young family members who are also well catered for with toys etc. Closeness to town centre is a major plus as well.

Need to update the photos on booking site. Facilities are tired, stove needs replacing, television very small and no live programmes available, carpets and mats need a shampoo, Would add much value to the accommodation.

Location and facilities are perfect. Thank you for the compensation/refund for the two nights we listened to the roof leaking and the pit pat sound of water in the bucket.

Sadly not the same holiday experience we had staying here this time last year which put a damper on the reason for our stay. The leaking roof and mouldy ceilings are a definite health hazard and need to be repaired before excepting any future bookings. Unfortunately we will not be re-booking this holiday home next year.

Perfect location and accommodation was just what we needed to remember my husband on the 5yr Anniversary of his passing. Great spot for us all to spend some time together making memories. We have booked it for the same time next year 😊

Lots of the hosts belongings such as toys and artwork etc everywhere which is nice but also could be tricky with young kids etc

Wow, what a location! You can see the beach from the deck's lounge chairs and there are stairs down to the beach access. There is an outdoor hose to rinse off after playing in the surf and sand. The porch has a shaded area and a sunny area, both with seating. The batch has more bedrooms than the listing shows. There are 3 in the main room and 2 more in the converted garage, which has its own living room and second bathroom. The living room has a big collection of toys aimed around 3 - 6 years old, which was a huge hit with my 5 year old.

The couches in the living rooms were pretty uncomfortable, but the weather was nice enough that we ended up outside most of the time anyway. The driveway is pretty narrow, so make sure you go forward further and back in at an angle. Otherwise it can take awhile to back up and get going out!
