"A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, shame about the rain but you can't help that!"

8.0

Themed decor - snowdrop pictures, coopers hill photos, cotswolds maps/leaflets for the local area. Views from the cottage were expansive. Bedrooms lovingly furnished. The right time of year to see the snowdrops in the garden and nearby Painswick too! Very close to lots of local attractions such as Cooper's Hill cheese-rolling site (200 yards), Great Witcombe roman villa (free entry), Painswick and its stunning Rococo Gardens and Prinknash Abbey.

The bathroom was on the second floor via a narrow windy stairway.

"A Great Stay with a View"

10.0

A lovely cottage with a comfortable living space and good kitchen. The fire-place was a wonderful feature (which we used most evenings) and we greatly appreciated the Christmas decorations. There’s a great view out over Gloucester and a couple of walking trails as well. It was everything we were looking for for a cosy cottage getaway.

"Beautiful location for a week in the Cotswolds"

8.0

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, always promptly responding to our questions. The house was beautifully situated, with a breath-taking view and several hiking trails starting at the front door.

The house is more than 100 years old which has consequences like uneven steps on the stairs and low doors.

"We enjoyed our weekend and the best feature for me was the fabulous view from the front of the cottage"

fantastic views, lovely and quiet. Good base for visiting local towns. Plenty of walks to take our dog from the property. Hosts were lovely and helpful.

The stairs to the top bedroom are very steep and narrow.

"Tranquil setting, quiet, steep stairs spoiled the stay to an extent, 2-3 nights is about right."

6.0

Amazingly tranquil location, great views.

There were many steps up to the property and then internally VERY steep steps on narrow staircases. We got used to them but we are fairly fit people and anyone less fit or with balance issues would have a problem. The 'double' bed on the first floor was disappointing, too small for two adults ( slim, tall). In the middle of the night we decamped to the two single beds on the second floor and had a relatively decent night's sleep.

"Lovely cottage, perfect relaxing getaway for a couple."

7.0

Beautiful location. Lovely cottage with quality traditional decor. Kitchen had everything needed to make it home from home. Host kindly put milk in the fridge and brought round some lovely fresh eggs from their chickens.

It was a bit tricky with a 15 month old puppy. The garden isn’t secure. The downstairs is open plan, with no doors, and house rules state dogs to be kept downstairs. The carpet is pale beige.
