"An Comaraich - The Sanctuary"

Our family of four including 2 teenagers (19-year-old son, and 17-year-old daughter) thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at the aptly named An Comaraich. The house served as an ideal base for our explorations, including trips to the stunning Isle of Skye. Alan, our host, was incredibly welcoming and always available to assist with any questions. The home itself was a delight—comfortably furnished with a well-equipped kitchen and a well-stocked pantry. The breathtaking view of the loch added to the serene atmosphere, making every moment feel like a peaceful escape. We were pleasantly surprised by the home's thoughtful amenities, such as the range of entertainment choices, impressive sound system and various mood lighting options. After our daily adventures, the house provided a cozy and relaxing environment to unwind and enjoy meals together. We hope to return and create more cherished memories.

Very attentive and kind owner of the house. He even made sure that the house was warmed up and the lights were on by our arrival, since it was pouring rain at that evening. House is in a very quiet place overlooking the lake. The beauty of Scotland's nature is indescribable, once in this house you are right in the middle of it. Comfortable beds. No signs of dampness. Kitchens with a large set of products. Thank you, Alan!

Very nice place, close to the lake and with amazing views. The house has everything you can imagine. Alan will give you detailed instructions for accessing and use all the gadgets.

The pathway to access is a little narrow, but good enough.

Well as the names says it certainly is a 'Sanctuary'! The property is in a beautiful, quiet location near to Eilean Donan Castle, which is an absolute must see, and the Isle of Skye. The property has a lovely calm, peaceful feel about it, is very comfortable and has everything you need. Alan the host was very kind / helpful, and quick to respond to any queries, he sent informative emails prior to our arrival, so we had no concerns about how to find the property or gain access, and looking out at the water with our morning tea was sublime, highly recommended!

This is in no way a criticism merely a suggestion, the removal of a few personal effects in the bathroom, and a little wipe of the oven would be beneficial, that said we had a fantastic time.

Beautiful location. Excellent views. As Alan, our host put it, definitely a "home away from home".

The view of Loch Duich was spectacular and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Alan keeps the house very clean and up to date. This was the best of 4 places we stayed at while in Scotland.
