Lake Hawea Cabin with Mountain Views- OUTDOOR BATH!

Amazing location with an incredible look over the mountain range & very close to Lake Hawea (and local restaurants/supermarkets). Great accommodation in a "tiny“ house with your iwn space - own kitchen & bathroom! Lots of kitchen equipment provided! Super super clean apartment!! Amanda was such a lovely host! She was really welcoming and the perfect host for asking questions/ she gave us tips/recommendations for the area! We stayed for two nights during autumn/winter and would definitely come again - so warm and cozy with the heat pump and the heat blanket! Perfect stay if you want to explore Wanaka and the surrounding hikes! Amanda was the perfect host - always there when needed but not too "present“ (even though we stayed in her garden 😉 - so definitely enough privacy)! We loved it and can only recomment it!

I loved the location as well as the price! The place had everything we needed, was comfy and cozy, and the host Amanda was super friendly!! We will definitely be back.

We prefer a bit firmer of a bed but it was not bad at all. My only 'complaint' was that the outdoor bath took quite a long time to fill but it was wonderful once it was full.

Adequate for a one night stay,

Couldn't get the TV to work and no contact number for the owner to help. It was raining so we were reluctant to go outside to knock on their door, The bathroom was small and didn't have an air vent so a window had to be kept open for steam which made the cabin cold. The bathroom was showing signs of damp and the whole accommodation needed a refresh.

Fabulous location with a short stroll to local cafe and lake. Amanda was very friendly and welcoming. Cosy and warm little cabin. The shower has great pressure. Lovely to have the outside light on for when we arrived back late in the evenings.

Very nice hosts, quiet peaceful location just next to the lake, clean and comfortable room with basic equipment for cooking.

Some of the kitchen utensils are a bit worn out and could do with replacing, though host was already in the process of taking care of it when I mentioned it, so probably not an issue anymore. Room is a bit smaller than it looks on the pictures.

Everything we need had been provided. It was good to have a cafetière and kitchen utensils were fine. The owner met us the next day and was very friendly, though we couldn’t make contact when we arrived by phoning or knocking on the door

It was very messy around the cabin which was in the owners back garden. Builders rubbish nearby and looked onto the laundry line. The cabin decor was inexpensive and a bit tired.
