Casa de Gondomil

The property in in a beautiful setting - with birds and wildlife all around. The property has 2 areas to sit out -so you have the sun or shade all day. The views were even better than imagined. The kayaks are very good quality and life jackets are provided. We used them to kayak up to the local Bitetos bar for lunch, where there is also a river beach for swimming.

The beds were quite firm - but I did sleep very well

Lovely place with a great view and an amazing garden + pool+ jetty. We loved the canoe trip. Can 100% recommend it!

Everything was just perfect - the cottage is equiped with everything you might need or even more. It’s surounded by the wonderful garden, full of fruit trees which you can smell everywhere ☺️ The pool is just next to it, you can jump into the cooling water or just relax looking at the Douro river view. We enjoyed it a lot! You can also get canoes to the river - it’s very safe - the water is very calm and you can use life vests which are provided. We tried it and we had a very nice experience. The cherry on the top are the owners. Although we could not meet Maria Eugenia in person, we were greatly hosted by her daughter and her husband. They were so kind, friendly and never overbearing - they made our stay even more pleasant 🥰 We could not imagine a better relax than in Casa de Gondomil ❤️ Thank you 🙏

It’s a pity we could not stay longer in this wonderful place

Sehr liebe Vermieterin, 2 Paddelboote standen zur Verfügung, direkt am Douro gelegen. Ausreichend Geschirr vorhanden, Natur pur mit jungen, zahmen Füchsen, die völlig angstfrei waren. Große Terrasse, toller Pool.

Die Bäder sind sehr klein und nicht komfortabel. Pool muss mit einem 2.Ferienhaus, was weiter weg lag, geteilt werden, das wurde vorher nicht kommuniziert.

De locatie is fantastisch! Wat een rust. In de ochtend een kopje koffie met uitzicht over de Douro is magisch. Kajakken vanaf het huisje is een aanrader. Eigenaresse is heel aardig en behulpzaam.
