"Exceptional"

Exactly what we expected. Loved our stay here with our elderly relatives. Did struggle with the pad lock on the gate the first time as it was on the inside and we couldn't see it but all good after that. Huge accommodation for us and dog friendly too. It is an old building so don't expect anything modern. Had a lovely walk in the forest connected to the lodge. Wandered around the castle ruins the day we checked out included in the cost of our stay which was nice and dog friendly too. Would definately stay again

"Excellent, comfortable, well equipped and excellent hosts"

We struggled to locate the lodge but the host was excellent and really helpful. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. There were some essentials in the cupboard and ice in the freezer.

There were quite a few steps in the property in unexpected places but not unusual for a very old, converted property.

Historical building and tastefully decorated with period items/paintings etc. The complimentary tickets to visit Gwrych Castle were a great added bonus.
