The location. The street the property was in looked run down. The exterior of the property was unattractive.

The house had everything we needed. It was spacious, well equipped, warm and spotless. We loved the variety of games available. Rory and Jackie were welcoming, helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. Thank you!

The house was comfortable and it was a delight to have a full kitchen as we bought local seafood and cooked our dinner. Having a washer and dryer was especially useful. The look of the house from the outside is deceiving - inside it is modern, bright, and the rooms are wonderful. There are 2 full baths which was great for my friend and me as we could both spread out. The location was very good - would have preferred a detached cottage with some land around it but that being said we were close to groceries, post office, petrol, gin distillery, gift shop, and the beautiful baech was a quick drive and hike away.

We chose it for the location, as being central. Plenty of room, well equipped, warm and reasonably comfortable. Welcoming bars of local chocolate much appreciated!! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We chose to sleep in the bedroom with an en suite. The bathroom had nowhere to put bath towels/wet towels after use. There was nowhere to hang clothes/nightwear in the room whilst having a shower. There was nowhere to put soap/bodywash/ shampoo/ flannel in the shower cubicle whilst having a shower. Bed was a little too hard for us, having bad backs. No instructions on how to use the cooker/microwave, although I worked out what I needed to. As we found out from staying on Lewis beforehand, recycling is quite specific on the islands and there are no compostable recycling bags for food waste (that we found). We received information prior to arrival via an email, which included WiFi code. When we arrived, the code didn't work. As there is no phone number provided within the property for contacting the owners, I then had quite a problem finding it to ask about the internet. Even though it was 10pm the owner answered immediately and it was soon sorted, but the prior instructions could do with updating.

Was very clean on arrival, and everything we needed was available. Plus contact from owner was superb.
