Cedar Place in Southwell

Location was great, in a quiet residential area and about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. We came here to tour the area on a cycling trip and there were some excellent, mostly flat, routes nearby. The house was very well presented, 3 storeys, with four double/twin rooms and two bathrooms, a nice kitche/diner, comfy lounge (wiht 3 x sofas & a Smart TV) and a small garden with decking and outdoor furniture. The Garage was ideal for bike storage and we just about squeezed four cars onto the drive!

DVD player didn't work properly but we found another way to watch what we wanted; wifi signal strength was weak/intermittent on the upper floors

Cedar Place was spotlessly clean and well appointed. We arrived fairly late and were so pleased to find that it was warm and comfortable, with everything that we could need for our 2 night stay. The tea, coffee, biscuits and milk were much appreciated. We are a family of 5 and brought my neurodivergent brother with us (we came for a family funeral)- there was plenty of space for us all and everyone was very content. Great location for Southwell and the folder of recommendations for places to eat and visit was helpful. We had a drink at The Final Whistle which was an easy, short walk down the road and had an excellent selection of beer!

The house had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable and clean, we couldn't ask for more.

Didn't expect to pay extra for charging my hybrid vehicle, so I didn't bother with that. Otherwise perfect.

Had everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, great shower. Twin beds are a bonus when it’s a group of friends. Owner was lovely.

Spotlessly clean, really comfortable, well equipped kitchen, toiletries included, washing up stuff provided, dishwasher and washing machine all spotless. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom and the en-suite spotless and well fitted out. Parking excellent and the drive for off road parking was large. The garden was lovely in the sunshine with an open decking and a shaded area too. Nice touch with milk and cookies and a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Also tea and coffee supplied and a filter coffee machine. Best holiday home I’ve stayed in. Easy walk to the shops as well as the town centre and the minster. Also the cycle/walking greenway is almost on the doorstep. Lastly it was so quiet and peaceful in that location.

About the only thing that could make this lovely place even better would be a downstairs loo, but that’s not a dislike.
