Artisan Cottage - Historic cottage near to Bath, Lacock and Castle Coombe

The cottage is beautiful. Everything in it is tasteful and classy. The location is very convenient for Chippenham town centre and the railway station. The host was very helpful and responsive.

I'm not sure the description includes that the cottage is set over three floors with steep narrow staircases. It would not suit someone with limited mobility.

The cutest cottage, so well equipped and nicely done. Beautiful decor, super comfortable and everything you need. We loved it!

Loved everything! Stunning cottage decorated and furnished to a exceptionally high standard. Very cosy and comfortable - the bedding is luxurious, lots of lovely touches like bathroom toiletries. We met our host Lisa who was so friendly and helpful, as was all the information provided before our stay. The street where the cottage is located feels like a step back in time. Great transport links to Bath and other nearby towns. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, we would love to stay again.

Nothing not to like

We booked an hour before arriving but the hosts were lovely and though not prepared and were out for the evening, came back and got it ready for us. The cottage was very tasteful and high quality fittings. The bedding was lovely.

Because the cottage overlooked the next door garden, the windows were obscured glass. I thought when I first entered the cottage it would bother me but I very soon forgot about it.

Clean, well equipped , friendly & helpful host, good location

Slightly cold when first entered the building, but easily sorted via the thermostat . Stairs were narrow and steep which was not an issue for us but would be a challenge for anyone with walking issues

Everything was simply delightful. The owners have thought of everything - from the lovely arrival welcome of Tea Pigs tea, coffee milk, water etc right down to the little touches like the selection of gorgeous soaps, shampoos and other toiletries in the bathrooms. The main bedroom had a very comfortable bed, with lovely bed linens and gorgeous pillows! Everything has been carefully considered to ensure you feel perfectly looked after. We would be so pleased to return!

The only slight negative was the sofa bed was not particularly comfortable. A thicker mattress or mattress protector would work well!
