The house looked beautiful. It fit the group size.

House floors were filthy upon arrival. Location is far more isolated than advertised. Owner deducted security deposit on an issue that we had no control over and refused to respond to my message.

Very well laid out and had all you could ask for

Very spacious with lots of room for groups like ourselves. Close proximity to Carlingford town, we walked in and out. Taxis and also available at very reasonable rates.

When we arrived, we left our cars at the property and walked down the town. We arrived back later that evening and the host met us at the gate, somewhat worked up, telling us that there are far more people than we had booked for. I explained that there were 11 of us, as booked. She said that I had only booked and paid for 10 people. I showed her messages where I had in fact double checked that I had booked and paid for 11 people. As agreed on booking, I sent the host a €200 ‘security deposit’, which was to be returned on inspection of the property. The following morning, we got up, cleaned the house ensuring it was left as we had found it and checked out an hour before the check out time. I had to text the host later that evening to return the deposit, to which I got no reply. However, later on when checking my Revolut, I noticed €185 had been returned with a note saying cleaning fee had been deducted. At no point was it mentioned to me that there was a cleaning fee or that this would be deducted from my ‘security deposit’. I have since made contact, asking for clarification regarding this fee which has been ignored. Something to be wary of when booking!

House was so big, we had 6 adults and 4 children and didn't feel cramped at all. everything we needed was available in house. would highly recommend it. anne is a lovely host. very welcoming.

nothing wrong with the house but was a but disappointed in availability of restaurants and take aways in Carlingford. tried to order pizzas one night but was told they weren't doing take aways because restaurant was too busy.

Anna the owner met us on arrival and was very helpful regarding our stay.
