BRG34 - Historical Vittoriosa Townhouse

We enjoyed the historic feel of the place still having all modern necessities.

The location was beautiful, an old house in a historic street. It was like stepping into history.

Where do I start? We opened the door and immediately smelled a fusty, decaying smell. We had to buy scented candles to make it more pleasant. We soon noticed cockroaches. First small brown ones and then larger black ones, they made our skin crawl. It was very dark, but, I suppose expected in the basement of an old house. We had only one towel each for nine days and no change of bed sheets. The kettle stopped working after five days and the host did not respond to this, so we had to boil pans of water on the gas. There was an air purifier system that we are convinced caused two of us to contract chest infections requiring anti biotics. Perhaps worst of all was that we felt abandoned when there were problems.
