Ballyhack by the Sea

It all started when this property tried to swindle me out of 200 euro saying it was for the security deposit and only when I checked her terms and conditions and contacted booking.com to look into it (I had to call a few times) then she backed down and gave me the security code for to access the property so we were late getting in. The owner tried to tell me she did nothing wrong. The dishes and cutlery were dirty and we had to wash them ourselves before using them but there was no hot water so we had to boil the kettle. The shower wasn't working at all and I messaged the property owner who blamed us for doing it. She called me and was aggressive on the phone and her partner told me if I didn't pull up the handle on the pipe then though I'd be stuck but she sent her cleaner over to fix the shower I don't know why but she moved the handle on the pipes and it started working again but not properly because one of us had a shower and nearly got scalded so no one could have a shower because this was not rectified. Oh and when we left the property to go somewhere the property owners tried to enter without notifying us or knocking and nearly gave the one person at the property a heart attack because he thought he was being burgled. They probably watched us leave on their ring camera at the front door. The whole place was dingy and shabby with holes in the carpet and very obvious ware and tear and the owner got defensive when I told her this. The cleaner told me they have been waiting a while to read decorate and that she had not been on top of her game lately due to family circumstances. There were cigarette buts outside on the patio but in the terms and conditions if you bring a dog and it poops and you don't pick it up they will charge 50 euros for the cleaner to pick it up, I don't see the cleaner picking up dog poop if they cigarette buts aren't picked up.

Lovely house, very warm. Everything we needed.We met the lady who manages the property, very friendly. Easy access to lovely local pubs and restaurants. Within easy reach of Waterford by the local ferry.

After a couple of hotels we came into your house which was nice for us and our furry friends!

The bunk bed in the second bedroom was oke but not handy for a family to stay in

From the moment we entered the property we were met with a bright beautiful decorated immaculately clean home . Each room was extremely comfortable and the facilities available in the kitchen were to a very high modern standard.

Nothing everything was above expectations

The house was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Lovely back garden for the dog too.

Very clean and beautiful house. Small ornaments all over the house, so you can feel like home. Nice calm colours.

Sticky floor in the kitchen and strange smell. It was unpleasant. I couldn’t understand why was that because it had been cleaned, maybe it is worth to change cleaning agents. The cups/mugs were impractical/uncomfortable to drink from them. Lack of sponge in the kitchen, as there isn’t any shop nearby worth have a sponge in the kitchen, not everything can be done by dishwasher. Small things that can be looked by owner to give better impression for visitors because there is the reason why people rent a house; one of it is a kitchen and possibility of cooking.
