The home was so well furnished and equipped for everything we wanted. We were a group of 5 but the house had so much space, it could have easily slept 8+. The location was great, right beside the saloon and stables, would really recommend booking a western riding session when you are there. Kath was an excellent host and we wanted for nothing while we were there.

"Homely home from home"

From start to finish, kath made sure we felt so welcome! Greetinh us on arrival with the keys, no delay on arrival, a lovely little welcome basket , toiletries and little special touches just shows that extra little effort 😀

I would be wary of the staircase, it's quite steep and a winding one. But that's the 4th room so there is another 3 to choose from if you've really small kids

"Beautiful lodge and great place to stay"

We loved the lodge. It had everything you needed for a weekend away. Beds were very comfortable and the peace and quiet was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Would have loved if log burner had been prepared and ready to light. Would pay extra for that service

"Home from Home"

Completely fell in love with Rowan Cottage. It was absolutely spotless. Little touches here and there made it so homely and cosy. Lovely welcome by Kath with milk and good few bits of food, which was much appreciated after the drive. House had everything we needed. Best stocked home we have stayed in. Beds very comfy. Great size decking with gates. So nice to be able to have brought dog. Washing machine and dryer both decent machines, so handy. Horseriding was such a hit with the kids. Lovely forest walks. Can't wait to return again to experience it in Summer time.
