Wow! We had the most incredible 5 days at Seahorse Cottage. We had high hopes and were not disappointed! The beach setting is spectacular. I couldn’t stop staring at the changing view as the sun and moon rose and set, with the islands of Perisera and Evoia in the distance; mesmerising and beautiful! The swimming is great as the sea is crystal clear. The sun loungers are comfortable, the terrace is very private, shady and a wonderful place to relax. The cottage is traditional and very charming, it’s not high spec but it’s tastefully furnished and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including beach towels, air con, toiletries and bath robes. We hired a car for a great price through the lovely Dinah at Alonnisos Travel who runs this property. I highly recommend staying at Seahorse Cottage. You will love it!

The only thing we didn’t like was leaving this place!

It was perfect. Dinah met us at the ferry with our hire car and we convoyed to the property. I Couldn't ask for any more.

The cottage is on the beach, and you practically have a private beach, although it is an old house there is everything you need for a perfect stay. The bed is very comfortable. Perfect veranda and view to the sea and Peristéra island. We had very relaxing and calm holiday.

The house needs a little renovation, the floor and the bathroom in particular.

We absolutely loved our stay at Seahorse Cottage. The location is idyllic, right on a beautiful, secluded beach - you can wake up in the morning and swim and have breakfast on the verandah. We thought the cottage was rustic (in a good way) but very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. Check-in was simple, we picked up the keys from the office 3 mins from Alonissos port. Dinah was very kind and helpful so everything was easy. We hired a quad to get from the port to the villa, and very good local restaurants were nearby at Kalamakia and Steni Vala. Finally (very importantly) there is a really sweet and friendly little orange and white cat who we befriended during our stay (he was very good and didn’t come inside the villa) please give him some love if you are staying :)

Nothing, it was perfect

It was a superb location, very peaceful and unspoiled, excactly what we were looking for. Alonissos Travel were extremely helpful and the hired car excellent. The cottage is basic, but the bed was very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The delicious apricots from the owner were a lovely bonus. Would book again!

I would have loved a two way mirror at the top of the drive, the exit is on a blind bend, you you rather put your foot down and pray! In the end we parked outside in the bushes opposite, so a mirror would make it less stressful. Other than that - brilliant!

We absolutely loved the house. You live literally on the beach and all around you is the beauty and peacefulness of Alonissos island. I can say this was the most relaxing holiday I have ever had. The house is not luxurious, but it has everything necessary and it has its own spirit. I hope I will have the chance to go back there.
