Wild Rescue Nature Reserve

The gas shower is either too hot or too cold. One cannot control temperature. It is not possible to have a nice shower.

We loved the earthy, close to nature, peace and quiet. And the view! The house have everything you need with extra blankets. Inside the house was spotless clean, not even a spiderweb to see. Lovely warm shower and comfy beds. The fireplace was a winner - warm and cozy in the comfortable sofas! ! Gill is such a lovely & kind lady. She welcomed us on arrival and we have the most beautiful Proteas welcoming us at the house. Will recommend to everybody.

The Nature Reserve is secluded and calm. Fresh, crisp morning air, a variety of birds, wild life and indigenous fauna. Gill was very kind and knowledgeable in conservation. Took us for a short morning walk to show the rescue tortoises and monkeys they’re looking after. The room had hot water bottles, clean bedding, towels, kettle, cutlery, crockery for two as well as rusks and small chocolates on our bed which was a very nice gesture. What a nice little place, we want to go back for a longer stay to experience more of the Nature Reserve.

Beautiful nature reserve, gorgeous rustic cottage. Hosts so helpful and always available. If you want to be away immersed in nature this cottage is a find.

Lovely down to earth accommodation in a small Nature reserve, Jill was so welcoming and offered the use of the kitchen and lounge. Quiet and remote, relaxing for a few days off. A half an hour beautiful drive away from Still Bay.

The room offered many extras, however the WiFi is very limited.

You can NOT get better value for money and helping a good cause is a bonus!! We artived with a bag of wood waiting for us, chochies on our pillows, freedom to move around and find peaceful corners. Perfect place for a retreat.
