Quinta dos Espigueiros

"Hão-de voltar. " Foi assim que o Sr. António nos recebeu. E sim, vamos mesmo voltar. O local é mágico, muito bem cuidado. A casa em que estivemos (Cabana) fica inserida no espaço de forma sublime. O silêncio e a beleza natural devem ser preservados na estadia. Tem todas as comodidades necessárias para uma família.

O anfitrião é excepcional. Deu-nos dicas úteis, sugestões de passeios e restaurantes. Além disso diariamente tínhamos tomates, limões e outros produtos caseiros e biológicos à disposição. Piscina com vista deslumbrante e o Douro como paisagem de fundo. À noite escuridão e silêncio que nos fizeram esquecer todo o cansaço de um ano de Cidade.

Great little getaway in the woods with beautiful river views. Lots of nature and shady hammocks by the pool. Antonio is a charming and welcoming host.

Exceptional place to relax. Great for kids as well

The facilities were exceptional, especially the house and the swimming pool. We were surprised and happy that Lomba beach and restaurant were a 10-minute walk away. We didn't have a car. The owner was wonderful. He gave us coffee packets and was willing to help us in every way.

For two elderly ladies, the house on the hill with steep roadway (cobblestones) was a tremendous challenge. We would have preferred a house close to the pool down below the property. Not having a small shop nearby for buying food was daunting. For some reason, which I don't understand because I had filled out the form that we were two adults,m I wrote two emails stating the same, the final booking had a baby with us and the owner said he thought we were four people! The communication was not good. I am from the United States. Why on earth do you have Turkey after my name!?

Stunning river views, excellent atmosphere, mix of traditional farm and countryside woods, amazing host, very, very relaxing. Highly recommended for family holidays.
