The property is well maintained. I was very comfortable. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was a nice novelty seeing the turtles roaming the lawns. My favourite was the swinging bed. The electricity set up is easier to understand than I thought. The electricity is set up on a pay as you go meter. With electricity rates in Kenya being very expensive this is a good way for property owners to manage the bills for holiday homes. I guess this also helps to keep the accommodation rate more competitive. Similar to a UK pay as you go meter you just top up the electricity by adding credit onto the meters account number. I did through trough M-PESA which is a local payment system via mobile. The guard assisted in topping up the meter. I spent a week at the property and topped the meter up with less then £10 (I did not use aircon). You can make a note of what the meter reading is before topping up when checking into the property and then you can monitor your use by reading the LED screen on the meter itself during your stay. If the meter reading is lower then than what was noted when you checked in then you just go ahead and top up again. If you are not using M-PESA then just give cash to the cleaner or guard who will complete the topping up process for you.

Beautiful private garden which is well kept. The house was immaculate and well maintained and the location is great. The mattresses were comfortable.

Electricity is NOT included which is ridiculous, and it is not mentioned anywhere prior to booking that it will be charged extra... Also, the type of mosquito nets used are very impractical (we all felt like we were getting tangled in them during the night).
