"Very Good"

The house itself was really nice! Great location, lovely yard, clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washing machine was great too.

The only issue we had was with the bugs- we came across quite a lot of small black worms, which was really unpleasant, and that honestly took away from the overall experience, even though the place had been sprayed.

Nastanitev ima vse kar potrbuješ za bivanje. Neprecenljiva je popolnoma opremljena kuhinja (tudi začimbe, tablete za pomivalni stroj...), pralni stroj z vsemi detergenti, velika kopalnica, dve spalnici in dnevni prostor. Hiša je prostorna in jo je lahko prezračiti. Komarniki so na vseh oknih. V prostoru je tudi razvlažilec zraka, čeprav pretirane vlage v prostoru ni. Okolica hiše je urejena.

Nič pomembnejšega, morda nekaj manjših izboljšav, kot naprimer nove vzmetnice na postelji, zatesnitev komarnikov, vrtno pohištvo.

"Horrible accommodation and difficult interaction with the landlord"

Nothing was good about the house and the answer of the landlord regarding my review leaves me speechless. Within our arrival we told the landlord, that we can´t stay in his accommodation, as it was humid and moldy and that we experienced a severe headache and lung problems, after being there for 10 minutes. We normally do not have any health issues. We only experienced them while being in the house and I certainly didn´t tell him, that we were having these health issues because of the climate. We were on Sao Miguel before and Sao Miguel does also have a high humidity, but we didn´t have any health issues threre. We left the accommodation and booked another one on Flores and we didn´t have any problems there at all. We´ve only spent about 15 minutes in this accommodation before we left, as the situation there was unbearable for us. We didn´t have the time to use anything in the accomodation, especially not the bed. When we entered the house and had a closer look at it´s equipment, the bed clothes were already crumped and looked used and the bed wasn´t properly made. It was only disgusting. Never would we ever have used such a bed. Besides, the bathroom wasn´t properly cleaned and there were signs of mold in the shower, on the toilet holder and in the living room along with ants being in the living room. The landlord has never explained in his description of the house, that there is a dehumidifier running in the bedroom, hence we didn´t know anything about the extreme humidity and mold in the house. We wouldn´t have booked the accommodation, if we had known this. I´ve explained the landlord the whole situation in several messages, but he insisted that it´s not his or the houses fault and that he won´t refund me my money. I asked him to accept my cancellation wish and to refund me the booking fee, but he didn´t want to. Now, I have to take legal steps, in order to get my money back. Due to this behaviour, we´ve lost 486 € and he has never suggested to give it back.

The whole accommodation was horrible. We cannot recommend it at all. We have booked a stay in this accommodation and the moment we stepped into the house, we were shocked. These were the things that were utterly annoying: - extreme humidity (there was a dehumidifier in the bedroom, which was already running when we arrived, the bed linen was totally wet and clammy and the bed was not properly made, but crumpled and looked used) - varmints in the form of ants in the living room - crumbling plaster + mold stains in the living room, in the shower, on the toilet holder + a defective toilet seat (we only took pictures of the living room, pictures of the bathroom are already available on booking.com in the last review of the accommodation from 27.07.24). - extremely musty smell that reinforced the impression of mold and moisture in the air - extreme headaches and lung pain with breathing problems within a very short time of arriving at the accommodation, so that we had to leave the accommodation as soon as possible and we were forced to book another accommodation. The landlord denies everything and told us that he has never had any problems of this kind with guests. However, I looked at the reviews and saw that on 7/27/2014 the dirtiness, mold and broken furniture had already been criticized by another couple and rated with only 1 star. Furthermore, there was also a bad 5 star rating on 11.10.24. So it is definitely not the case that the landlord has not had these problems with other guests. Instead of fixing them, however, he continues to try to make money from the faulty accommodation and simply continues to rent it out. We booked the accommodation in Oct. 23 and knew nothing about the problems at the time, as the negative reviews did not exist at the time of booking and we would never have booked the accommodation if we had known about them. Due to these reasons, we are now forced to take legal steps, in order to get our booking fee back.

Good location in the heart of waterfalls.

Usually should be available some coffee. There was ground coffee, but there was nothing to cook it in. There are stumps on the terrace, which are not very comfortable for sitting outside
