"Great Scott" Great spot your Tekapo Retreat

Fantastic place to stay. Decked out in quality furnishings, beds, linen and kitchen wear. Felt like staying in a rich friend’s home instead of a holiday house. Beautiful big windows to allow lots of light in. Great location for kids. I would imagine when it’s not covered in a foot of snow the deck and front lawn would be great to run around in. The driveway has a gate, so kids would be safe to be in the yard. Driveway and path was nicely shoveled free of snow for our arrival.

Took a little while for the bedrooms to heat up, but once it was toasty, it was perfect!

The house is beautiful, cozy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and utensils, making it convenient for cooking during the stay. The house is also close to attractions, restaurants, and supermarkets—about a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute drive.

The house was roomy and comfortable with everything we needed. Absolutely loved it!

There was nothing we didn't like. Perfect!

Loved the modern look and feel of the place. Easy walk to town. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of layers to suit temperature. Fan was a life saver in the bedroom as it got a bit warm. Kitchen was nice though we didn’t use it as we were only there for a night. Overall would definitely stay there again though there was a sold sign out front so not sure how much longer it will be available?

Warm during the day without aircon though we were out most of the time, creaky floors, couches weren’t as comfy as I believe they were pull out beds

Truly the most amazing accommodation we’ve ever had in New Zealand. The owner put lots of thoughts making a clean, comfortable, cozy place for guests. It has all the things u may need as a family.
