Mill Cottage

The location, just a stones throw from the beach allowed us to enjoy it as well to explore the local area, and we did some little walks but next time we would love to go further as our boys will be older. The property it's self was amazing, clean, and very well equipped. All instructions were very clear before we got there and the property as well. We will be going back.

Great location with lovely views , well equipped cottage , tastefully decorated , really really comfy beds and pillows , great quality bedding . Nice area to sit out , perfect cottage in a perfect village with two great pubs . Also great communication

That our stay wasn’t longer

Fantastic location with great views. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 adults, and the house is very well equipped

I would have liked a bit more work surface in the kitchen for dishing out meals - we like to use our holiday house as if it was our home and cook the majority of our own meals

Lower Largo is a delightful ex-fishing village famous as the birthplace of the real Robinson Crusoe. It isn’t at all touristy but has a shop, pub and hotel with a very good restaurant. There’s even a bus stop outside the door with a hourly service to St Andrew’s. Best mix of seaside and walks on the doorstep of Mill Cottage. The cottage itself is superb. Very well refurbished with an up to the minute kitchen, comfy sofas and beds, and everything you need for a perfect family stay. We especially liked the cosy attic bedroom with its own en-suite. Huge windows in the living room enhance the sense of space and seaside light.

One thing we would advise is a box in the yard for glass recycling. There are bins for everything else but the glass is meant to go to a communal bank up the road which we never found. A bit too much trouble for even the most well meaning visitor really.

Cottage on 3 floors was beautifully refurbished, and well equipped. Bedrooms on ground floor and in the loft, living area in the middle, handy for everyone. Could watch the wildlife paddling about in the stream outside from the living room windows.

A coat rack in the hall would have been handy. The key safe was a bit tricky to open sometimes.

House had everything we needed for 4 adults and a 4&8 year old. Easy access and good communication from Fraser. Great location over looking river and just 100m from sea. Good pub(Railway Inn) & Crusoe Hotel within 50m. Accessible safe sandy beach is 200m away great for kids to play & explore. Please be aware that water quality at beach was rated POOR (not safe to bathe in). Not an issue in October.

Garden very small if kids want out unsupervised to play. Only parking for 1 car outside house, if you have 2 cars then parking for 2nd car is approx 30m up road at rear of property. We knew this prior to arrival.
