Everything was great

WiFi abit poor but still worked

On arrival we was give the wrong code, we had travelled 3 hours after a funeral with a newborn and older child. Which as you imagine made getting in the accommodation stressful. When we stepped in the caravan appeared “cosy”. Unfortunately when going to make drinks we found Dirty mugs and plastic beakers with someone’s used chewing gum stuck to the cup. After an hour of being there we could smell gas. That’s when we realised the cooker was broken, so every time someone made a drink or was near it the knobs would turn and gas would leak as the cooker safety dials was missing. We had to turn the gas off and order food, for safety reasons. 3 of the bed has dirty bed sheets, other people’s black hairs on bedding. This led to my autistic son having a break down and sleeping on the sofa. The wifi that was supposed to work both smart tvs had a weak connection and also did not work. We had people cutting accross the property grass and outside our main door till gone 2am from the live bar close by and people walking there dog and letting them poo on our grass. I’ve never complained with booking.com before so by time I had received advice to contact the host it was now the following day and we was leaving as (1 night stay). I contacted the host as advised. I was spoken to horrifically, accused of being a scam artist, accused of using a photo someone has already sent prior to our visit apparently. Which then made me ask if she had received this same complaint why did she not resolve it. I was then accused of having a dog at the property and that it was family’s like mine that spoil it for others 😮. I’m furious, I didn’t actually want any money off owner just an apology. I got the complete opposite, I’m disgusted. The cooker at the property is a matter of health and safety! She also claimed it was not broke and then followed on to say. The site made her aware it was broke .. so very contradictory. I want my money back or some at least! HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED

very clean. very well presented. good facilities. caravan kept warm even without heating. great communication with the owner. perfect arrival instructions. very close to amenities. club house with restaurant and bar nearby. food in restaurant on site was lovely. entertainment good. absolutely no problems at all. we have a really lovely stay and will book again.

My only suggestion and this is not a criticism as we had a lovely time and we hope to book again, I also wonder if it was because we were there at the end of the season - we could have done with more pans to cook with and a broom to sweep outside as they cut the grass outside across the pathway so was hard to not bring grass into the caravan. I could have swept it away.

good location on park, lovely clean modern caravan. great to have beds made up for your arrival, towels included. stayed here last year and came back this year, would most certainly recommend this holiday home
