Naxos Black Concept Maisonette

Well kept new apartment that felt very luxurious. Our host was awesome with amazing information and help.

A washing machine would have been ideal as it is a 20min walk to main town.

Beautiful, stylish, and clean maisonette with comfortable beds. Had everything that we needed for a week long stay. Dimitris was an amazing host. He was always available and responded quickly. Always offered help if we needed help. On our checking out day, he even brought as local sweets.

It would have been perfect to have a washing machine and a dishwasher. Plus, the driveway is narrow, so with a bigger car, it was a little tricky to turn around the car.

Black Concept follows the “suite” model of accommodation: a hotel standard bed and bathroom, with a kitchenette and sitting area added on - a place to rest between trips to beach & taverna. This contrasts with a holiday home where the emphasis is on communal areas to hang out together. We had 2 weeks in Black Concept, with another couple as guests for 4 days. The highlight was the master bedroom - the only room on the 1st floor. It is beautifully designed with a walk in shower & separate WC, just enough storage, and even a mini-fridge. It has a balcony with great views. The décor throughout the suite is outstanding – simple, with natural colours and materials. But functional too – the lighting is great, aircon powerful, bug screen on all the windows and solid wifi. The 2nd bedroom with its own bathroom was perfect for our guests. As a suite, the kitchenette and sitting area was tight, especially for 4. That said, cooking a meal was possible with just enough equipment and a good cooker. Eating was at the table on the ground floor terrace. This was difficult - see below. Storage on the ground floor is minimal but we took a basket from the bathroom for our beach stuff and cleared enough space for food stores. The fridge was a good size with a freezer section. The location is close to Naxos town but we needed the car – for both town and trips to other great places on Naxos. The views from the terraces to Chora and the sea are beautiful – if you overlook a few edge-of-town aberrations. There is a building site quite close by but it did not intrude. The whole area is still attractively rustic and we loved the chorus of cockerels, dogs, peacocks, & goats each dawn. Dimitri as creator, owner and host is excellent. He met us at the start with useful information and responded quickly to our request for a midway clean and for extra plates etc for the 4 of us. We loved the Greek touches – home produced fruit and honey on arrival and a nice botttle of wine too.

The issue is shade on the balcony & terrace. The parasol covered a limited space and could not be left open unattended due to wind. With the white paving and walls in full sun from c.10h00 - 18h30, the terraces were unusable until the sun started to set. The location is so lovely that we wanted to hang out there during the day, but that was not possible outside. Some form of fixed awning or shelter is needed to make the most of these beautiful suites. Storage on the ground floor is limited - especially in the bedroom which has only a small hanging space. A chest of drawers there, a big basket by the front door and one more cupboard unit in the kitchen would help a lot.

The apartment is new, modern and very comfortable. It offers nice view of Naxos Chora and is situated in a quiet area, but still very close to the town. The host is easily reachable and the check in experience was great.

Beautiful property, tastefully designed with the best shower on the planet! Bed was Comfortable; kitchen was well appointed with enough coffee pods for 4 people for 4 days. Close to the the town of Chora (4 minute drive). Very quiet location. Owner very responsive; brought us extra towels when asked.

The AC in the bedroom was right over the bed and it got very uncomfortable; it was difficult to find a setting that was cool enough for sleep without it blowing cold air right on top of us.

Amazing view and great house, perfect for a few days in Naxos. Facilities were great in the property and location was good.

Very modern, very clean apartment overlooking Chora. A nice place zu stay. Chora center and taverns within walking distance. A very nice and corteous host. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

The space-saving spiral staircase is quite narrow so you'd better be in good shape.

Our group reserved both apartments and had a great time!! We rented a car so we could explore the island but also enjoyed being close enough to town to walk. The apartments were both spotless and we enjoyed having a small kitchen and an area to sit outside. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great trip. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect stay! Wow, what great accommodation we had at Black Concept. Our host, Dimitris welcomed us and immediately we felt a connection to Naxos. Just 1 km from Chora with an endless view it’s quiet, private and yet not far from town centre if you choose to walk, which we did one day - although we did have a rental car to take full advantage of everything Naxos has to offer. Black Concept contains 2 units. Our party of two couples rented the two bedroom / 2 bathroom with shared kitchenette unit. Very clean, well appointed and enough privacy for each couple, it was perfect. We were also impressed with the welcome basket of fresh fruit, local honey and a bottle of wine - a much appreciated bonus.
