Caravan for rent at Tattershall Holiday Park

Property was in a good location.

Not enough cutlery, only one teaspoon and one dessert spoon. Also wasn’t able to use the hot tub on day one, due to not heated in time. Considering we were only there for two days.

Property was a good size., positioned in a pretty quiet part of the park Handy to have an additional toilet. Main bedroom much larger than expected, with lots of storage. Decent storage in kitchen.

On arrival the caravan smelt stale. Springs are badly protruding from the mattress in main bedroom. The floor in the en-suite toilet was damp. The hot tub was at 22 degrees. Tried to get it to turn on but really struggled, hard to find that model on line for the instructions. Eventually got it to about 36 degrees so was bearable but not warm. Decking very creaky and some boards pop up. TV worked intermittently. Need to look at kitchen utensils as some basics missing. Overall caravan is tired and in need of some tlc. Parking was tight for 2 cars. Disappointed by price as we paid a lot more for one with a hot tub…that was freezing for the first 24 hours of hour 48 hour stay!

Everything was OK, no problems

The hot tub was pretty cold at first. There were no instructions. I had to use the Internet for instructions on heat adjustment

Well laid out caravan - great family space - kingfisher area so backed onto fields and the fighter jet flyovers were brilliant.

The caravan is tired - damaged shelf edges in the main room and the bath room were sharp - the freezer door is broken. The decking is rickety and the railings very wobbly esp around the hot tub area. The hot tub was cold on arrival - it did warm up but we lost a nights use due to its temp. The mentioned BBQ and picnic area - was two dirty chairs and a used disposable bbq - a real let down Whilst I appreciate that the owner can’t control the need to have passes to use the facilities at the site - I do think it should have been made clearer in the advert - I paid in good faith for what was pictured and written in the ad - there was no mention of how much these passes would be - and when I was informed I was asked for nearly £200 more for a pass. Which I had to bank transfer to a stranger! To be clear without the passes you cannot enter the arcades- any of the swimming areas - the bars - the restaurants- you only have your caravan and access to the fish and chip shop and the general store - everything else pretty much is inside the centre. Whist the caravan is dog friendly you can’t actually take your dog into about 50% of the centre! Comms from the owner were very poor - especially after I’d paid the extra money which made for a very stressful experience overall.

Very small for 3 people, not enough cutlery, decking was very rickety. En suite toilet to main bedroom was tiny, main bathroom the same and shower was very hard to get into. Light fittings full of bugs.

Quiet and had a hot tub

The little bits that come off the trees or field covered the property but can’t be helped.

The property wasn’t clean on arrival, the cleaner came an hour later after messaging the owner, to which I had already cleaned… the hot tub wasn’t clean so was unable to use this is one of the reasons I booked to use the hot tub.

The area.

If you check at the booking page it says about the the things which should be included. By the way on the picture is totally different than what you get in real. I’ve booked this caravan with 2 adults and 3 kids and it was no enough sheet to use. I’ve contacted the owner and we haven’t got any replacement. The remote control was not working either, the batteries was low. No washing machine available or towel. No coffee maker. No DVD player only DVD’s. No video games or consoles and when I asked the answer was someone broke it and he doesn’t replace anything. No board games or books for the kids. Even the shower was broken and not enough cutlery to use. The hot tub was filled with dirty water and when I was contacted the owner someone came the next morning and we couldn’t use the hot tub that day again. So we only used 1 day and we have stayed 3 days. Ridiculous…
