Casa Vacanze Selva

We had stayed for a short Easter holiday here (2 couples with 2 dogs), and were completely satisfied and happy with the house and the location, and Federica was looking after us on the perfect way, she was always available when needed. - very spacious house on one level, tastefully furnished and not cluttered with unnecessary stuff – we felt absolutely cosy, the beds were comfortable -2 bathrooms (they are not so new but fully functional and also comfortable walk-in shower for taller people…) - I loved the layout: the entrance/hall with big table for working or playing near the fireplace – living room to watch TV or to relax – well-equipped kitchen with a window opens to the terrace – two bedrooms (one is with en-suite bathroom) and the extra bathroom on the quiet side - very nice and big landscape garden with shady trees, flowering bushes and herbs with lots of birds and lizards – fenced to the side of the road (low traffic with 30 km/h speed limit), but it continues as vineyards so those sides are open – still plenty of room for the dogs to run around - the swimming pool wasn´t operating yet (in April) but I´m sure it´s good to cool down on a hot day in the summer - huge parking space/turning for bigger/multiple cars as well - 3-minutes-walk there´s the Agriturismo Selva where you can taste all the Nadalutti wine (and bring some home with you) with a wonderful local products and antipasti plate, also there´re an educational farm with animals and playground for the children - a small, crystal clear river (Natisone) flows behind the Agriturismo - 2 bikes were on our disposal too (preferred to walk because the dogs, and the terrain is hilly) We drove to Trieste (1 hour) and to the sea too (Grado, 50 mins), but many exciting sightseeing can be found nearby, like Udine, Cividale del Friuli, San Daniele etc… We hope to return later and see more of this beautiful part of Italy. Dishwasher and kettle are now available in the kitchen, there´s nothing to complain about! :-) We found some marmorated stink bugs as they come into the house to shelter from winter and wake up when it´s getting warm, but they are harmless and someone easily can help them to find the way out with a tissue through the windows.
