Cosy 2 bedroom cottage in Scarborough's Old Town

Lovely cottage in ideal location. Everything you need for a few days or longer. Lovely hosts too ☺️

The cottage was beautiful and the little touches were really appreciated. We especially liked the fact the Christmas tree was up and the lights were on waiting for us. The property is in an ideal location. We enjoyed walking into the town each day. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and the seaside theme throughout was lovely. The hosts even left us milk, teabags and a few other essentials, another lovely touch. Communication throughout the whole process was great. Parking was good, we managed to park outside of the cottage and we were given a parking permit. This helped take away the stress of finding a carpark nearby. Excellent value for money. Overall an excellent experience. We will definitely be back in the future. If this property went up for sale tomorrow, we would buy it we loved it that much!!

The location, the decor, layout of kitchen, open plan room and facilities in the house. As a family, enjoyed the stay very much.

Creaky bathroom door! But this a really minor point - overall a very well thought out house, stay.

open plan living dining, tv was bigger than in the pictures, quiet street. nice beds/bedding. downstairs loo, felt secure, decorated nicely

the bathroom was way too tight,, you have to close the door once you are inside in order to get to the sink! i cut my arm on the shower door handle as it has a sharp edge , just way too small, the sofas were good quality but needed cleaning they were very grubby, made me feel a bit ick and the table and chairs in the back garden were stacked in the corner covered in cob webs and seagull mess and snails!! would it have taken the cleaners much extra effort to clean all areas of the home? the stairs are really deep and had shallow treads and i almost fell down them twice, wouldn't take small kids/elderly here., its also on a steep hill so anyone with walking issues would struggle. one of the bedrooms is locked up and has a private sign on it, this would be better suited to a new bathroom as the bathroom is little bigger than a cupboard,

The accommodation was lovely, very clean and modern

The bathroom was very small and hard for my 72 year old mother, plus she found the stairs hard to manoeuvre with a bend in them. The garden/yard had 12 foot walls so not so nice to be in plus the walk into town was via council estate which wasn't pleasant at times and the hill was hard for my Mam to get up.

The house is very comfortable, attractive and thoughtfully renovated and decorated. A home from home. There is a downstairs toilet as well as the one in the shower room which is very handy. It has an outside area through the kitchen where you can sit out. There is also an outdoor tap and hose where you can clean off sand from your beach shoes etc. The hosts had left milk in the fridge plus coffee, tea and sugar for us to use (though we had brought our own). There is a log fire which we didn't use as 'sadly' it didn't get cold enough to justify it.

It was difficult to get in touch with the hosts after their initial message to check that all is well so I would advise you to check everything before you reply to the 'settling in' message. We found there were dust bunnies under the moveable furniture, the clothes washing liquid ( mentioned in the facilities description) was used up, we had problems with one of the TVs (but given that there were 3 that wasn't such an issue), the bath towels were quite small so, if you are larger than size 10 you may wish to bring your own. All this said, the house is lovely and comfortable and I would stay there again.

The cottages location was great, not too far from the beach or the town. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal. The cottage itself was lovely and cosy, like a little home from home. I especially liked the outdoor seating area. It was lovely to sit out there in a morning with a coffee.

We were given plenty of details about the house the day before we arrived so this meant I wasn’t having to read the pack the day of a arrival and put me at ease knowing before we went how everything works etc. the cottage was lovely and clean and had everything we needed while we stayed here. We all felt comfortable here and had room as a family not to be on top of each other. We have been coming to Scarborough for 4 years now in the summer and normal stay in a caravan just outside Scarborough but this has changed everything for us as a family as we could just walk into town and enjoy everything Scarborough has to offer. We will definitely like to stay here again. No more caravans for us!! Thank you again for making our long weekend away amazing with your cozy cottage.
