Bluebell Cottage

Very convenient location. Warms up quickly but stone floor stays cold so slippers recommended (as per the property details).

No cleaning equipment. No storage space in the kitchen area for food.

Location. The cottage was perfect for us 3. Warm cosy and close to a great pub.

In a brilliant location

Some of the furnishings were a little tired and the bathroom downstairs wasn't ideal

Position was perfect for all of the village has to offer. Clean with a good basic kitchen, good wifi reception and smart tv.

Obviously room was at a premium in a old cottage but good use of the back space gave the cottage a bigger and lighter feeling.

Great stay thank you. Grassington exceeded our expectations and was a great base to explore the western dales.

Central location, facilities on your doorstep. Beautiful, comfy, cosy cottage. Excellent walks close to cottage. Enclosed, beautiful garden.

Struggled to get comfortable on mattress in main bedroom but mattresses don't suit everyone

Convenient location, cosy rooms, a bright kitchen/diner opens out onto a lovely garden out the back, through patio doors. Comfortable beds, one room with an ensuite toilet & washbasin. Parking available close by with an honesty box, or 5 minutes walk using a permit for the cottage. Handy shops, supermarket and plenty of cafes/pubs.

A clothes airer would have been useful to dry wet walking gear if you are unlucky with the weather, but the heating and hanging coats etc. on chairs worked for us.

If you are fan of All Creatures Great and Small, you will LOVE staying here. Bluebell Cottage is just feet away from the town square. The size was perfect for three people and getting in and out was easy. Grassington is the perfect place to stay if you are wanting to explore the Dales, and do some hiking. Communication with Helen was perfect if we had questions. Packing light for us means having a place that does have a way to do laundry, Bluebell cottage does have a washer, but you will need to hang your clean clothes on the line.

There is not a whole lot not to LOVE about Bluebell Cottage, but please be aware if you are traveling and staying at a cottage and looking to save money by cooking your own meals, you will need to bring everything for that. While the cottage did have cooking pots/pans, utensils and dining ware, you will need to bring all ingredients to make your meals. Don't expect anything other than salt and pepper for condiments in the kitchen. It's beneficial to stop at a larger grocery store in one of the larger towns prior to getting to Grassington. While the village store is close, it will lack a lot of variety you will get an an Aldi or Tesco on your way to the village. If you plan on eating your meals out mostly, be aware that breakfasts at the local Inns (mainly the restaurants in town) only serves their guests. This wasn't listed on their websites. There is a baker there that has some breakfast sandwiches, you won't get a sit down big English Breakfast if you are seeking that.

We had a problem with the shower which was rectified by a very pleasant plumber coming asap. Very helpful owners who pursued the matter in a timely manner even whilst they were away on their hols. Lovely dog next door, "Mr Goose" and lovely neighbour too. Beautiful enclosed garden, peaceful but you are the middle of everything. 3 dog friendly pubs within 2 mins walk. Met up with my BFF that I hadn't seen for 10 years, photo in the garden.

Nothing at all, perfect location, especially if you have dogs.
