Great location and clean

Colin's communication and politeness were second to none. This was our second time staying here to visit family and won't be out last. The location is spot on as it's only a five minute walk from the centre with a local shop at the end of the road.

Place was lovely and full of little quirks and features that made us smile from the jellybean-themed kids room to the 'pink pooper' to the door stops. These little quirks were on top of the already excellent amenities like the ceiling and floor fans throughout, the selection of dvds and blu-rays, the cereal selection (sadly but understandably light on Gluten Free options), etc. Also, the pillow cases and bed covers were lovely and soft!

Honestly very little to complain about - Don't think what I'm about to write is a major issue as it's not and we'll definitely consider staying there again the next time we're in town. I found a few bits of rubbish in the kids room on arrival. Given the emphasis on providing a cleaning deposit and keeping the place tidy to ensure you get it back, I was expecting the place to be spotless but these items were not small and were easily visible so should really have been dealt with by the cleaner. We pushed the vacuum round before leaving and the top room seemed to have a lot of 'bits' on the floor. Honestly not convinced that room had been cleaned since the last visitors. I don't know how often the owner (who is genuinely very nice - he called me while he was on vacation to make sure we were ok) inspects it but I'm concerned he isn't getting what he's paying for from the cleaner after what I saw.

Colin was a fantastic host. We loved the house and would definitely stay there again!

The location is excellent - close to the town centre as we needed. The host is a great guy and has thought a great deal about how to make the house work as a guest space. He answered all of my questions and gave clear instructions as to how everything works. We slept really well. Everything that needed to be excellent was: heating, a good oven, fridge, a parking permit, internet, the beds are comfortable and the shower is excellent with good water pressure. We paid extra for the hot tub which was very much worth it and was all ready when we arrived. I really liked the views out of the windows.
