Cabins Sodwana Bay - antibootika

The cabins have been tastefully decorated with plenty of shelves & storage areas. There is a separate kitchen which is very well stocked in terms of kitchenware, a gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, deepfreeze & ice maker! And a nice braai area by the pool with picnic benches and some hammocks were also put up. The pool & gardens are lovely, the pool is shaded in the afternoon so luckily it has a chance to cool down enough to be refreshing when it's so hot outside! The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a smaller one-bed unit next to the main one which isn't rented out to anyone else during your stay, and the owner was kind enough to let us make use of that one as well!

Unfortunately the generator wasn't working and there were massive amounts of load shedding/power faults so we didn't have any aircon or water during this time and it was very, very hot! And if you think it will at least be peaceful & quiet think again, because we had to listen to the neighbours generator the whole time 😅 It is mentioned that you can hear the road but we didn't expect it to be quite as busy as it was during the day - you can't hear it as much in the cabins with air conditioning on though and it isn't busy at night. Some of the aircon units were quite noisy, especially coming back on after load shedding it does tend to wake you up. I used ear plugs but it also vibrates through the floor and bed.

The apartment was really nice and the internet stable, which was a big worry for us, as we worked remotely from there. When the electricity went off, there was a generator that they switched on for a while.

The shower wasn't very hot, and the toilet didn't flush well, however, they said that they would have a look at it, so it might be fixed by the time someone else books.
